Before people upgrade they need to put a value on the things that the 9 and Mivec brought to the table. Quick spool, near instant partial throttle boost transition, and a healthy hard hitting punch of torque. The green may spool nearly the same when the pedal is mashed to the floor at 2500 rpm on a dyno but daily driven it definately feels different at partial throttle. Is the topend gain worth it? Thats for you to decide.

Jeff_jeske, If you're ever in Oklahoma, I will let you drive OKIX's car, then tell me that you feel the difference in spool. It CAN be made non existent. The dyno AND street logs prove that peak torque occurs at or before 3800 rpms. I think you'll find that the stocker is nearly exactly the same. With 101 and meth, a stocker's spool is NOT quicker. These discussions are why I very well documented the car and what it does and doesn't do. Logs and charts prove these points.

meth with a 20g or even a IX stocker will give you some massive tq. at least you will feel it......................i rather see down low tw and power then up top. depends on what someone wants is based on what they are gonna buy.
once i max out my 20G i think i will go as far as 30R or something. dont know yet but still gotta feel out my 20G and meth im gettin here soon. I set my fuel mods up already in preparation for the meth. should be around 400 or so as far as Hp and hoping for a 400 or so tq.

I would love to go to the track that you guys have. LOL. So the built motor, ported head and jun cams yielded you an extra tenth. With my wallet that would make me cry. Still the numbers are impressive. Now if you hit 10.3 I will bow down to you.

haha wow so 4k worth of mods ended up being about 1.5k now. thanks for saving me money guys! i guess now i'll be getting the Snow Performance Meth Kit and the ACT Street Disc Clutch Kit w/ Flywheel (unless you guys can recommend me a good/affordable clutch for a daily driver that can handle a few launches at the strip). i'm gonna find out around how much whp my car is making once Mellon sends me the graph. with the mods i have now plus the addition of the meth kit and increasing the boost, what else would i need to get into the 400's?

- wait, I know, let's take the highest EVER stock turbo + meth dyno numbers (then add 15whp to that for whatever reason), so we can feel good about the fact that we are making average Green + meth dyno numbers...why are you hating on the Green soooo much?
First time out with new setup: 10.61 and 130.49mph, with AFR's .5 richer than dyno session. More to come.

Since some of u said that it's not worth it to upgrade from the IX turbo to a Green, is it worthy to upgrade from VIII turbo to a Green then? or go bigger like 30r and up instead?
The 30R, like full-races will make more power. Depends on your goals. If you drag race, what is your goal. If you don't and want to keep reasonably close to stock response, the Green would probably be the largest currently available turbo. A Twin-scroll 30R is in the test stages, so check the thread on that if you're looking for a potential of 550 whp, but at the expense of probably a 400-500 rpm's of spool time.
A well built stock turbo with top tune or one of the mentioned turbos is not going to dissapoint you.

it was just an appendectomy, but there were some complications afterwards and they kept me in the hospital for 5 days and did so many tests. they put nuclear stuff in my blood to see if i had any bleeding in my stomach, they stuck an NG Tube into my nose, which then went down my throat and into my stomachand kept it there for an hour and performed a colonoscopy at the same time. i was fully conscious when the stuck the tube in my nose, but im glad they heavily sedated me when they did the colonoscopy. i'm only 19 and it wasn't fun at all.
