Its a garrett DBB Turbo, I wouldn't get it. Mitsubishi would charge an arm and a leg for it and you wouldnt even be able to run it without upgrading the fuel system, and getting new tune. In the end it will cost thousands of dollars, I would just go with a turbo kit from someone else

What size turbo would the DBB equate to?

I believe somewhere on the forums it was said to be similar to a GT28 variant of Garrett's turbo line.

The turbo was supplied by Owen Developments in the UK.

If the images are correct the FQ-400 was equipped with a stock-looking, cast exhaust manifold with provisions for mounting a stock-type heat shield, as well as the incorporated factory ALS plumbing, in addition to the one-off Garrett turbo with the integral gate. From the looks of it, the turbo must have been configured with a custom cast(by Garrett?)turbine housing, huh?

Good question! I wonder whether the housing and cast manifold are still T.S. too??

DBB stands for dual ball bearing. It's not a particular size of turbo. Please don't go around and start telling all your friends "yeah, I'm about to buy a DBB turbo. It's gonna be sweet."
