Just make sure the used M1 is pristine, lol, my used oil container has seen lots of different oils (tranny fluid, antifreeze, etc.) in recent months.
I have a brand new container i put it in, so I think i should be fine. I am going to contact blackstone labs tomorrow.

In comparing amsoil to the mobil 1, i don't think it will be a good test because the amsoil is 0w-30 (for winter) and mobil1 is 10w-30.

I can't find the rest of it. I know I had it before Timzcat's server was taken down. I wonder if he still has it. That server was awesome. It needs to come back in some form. EvoM would be great with an FTP server again.

I think I'm going to go put that in the board suggestions forum.

If you've never used it, then you probably don't need it.

AMSOIL publishes test Data performed by several of the Top Testing Facilities in the US.

You don't think RP, or anyone else for that matter, is going to publish results where they didn't finish on top, do you ?

Yep, And you can add Stoddard Solvent to any oil to make it start easier by lowering the VI of the oil and lower lower oil temps as well.

There are additives out there that use SS for that reason... They just don't tell you that it takes away the lubricity of the oil... But hey, it starts easier.. LOL

I just did a Car Show this past weekend... UNBELIEVABLE how many people are still nuts enough to use oil additives because they either saw on TV, or one of those BS Demo's with the guy using a "One Armed Bandit" to test oils and additives.....

Mobil 1 EP is a PAO Synthetic... BUT, by law to be called 100% Synthetic, it only needs to be 30% PAO..... Mobil 1 is still a good oil... Mobil uses a carrier oil to keep additives blended as the cost to keep additives blended in a PAO Stock is expensive, hence, partially the cost difference of AMSOIL... Motul 300 is a great oil, Ester based which has it's own share of problems such as moisture and seal compatibility and that is why The Best Synthetics are PAO w/Esters....

Put Royal Purple on on the rollers of your garage door... that is about what it is good for.

Eneos oil.... maybe just above Royal Purple... Maybe

Filters.... I recommend the WIX over the AMSOIL as the AMSOIL May go into By-Pass with hard driving and the WIX is a Synthetic Glass filter.

Oil Analysis..... It does absolutely NO GOOD to do an analysis and change brands and do an analysis on that oil and so on.... That is why I dismiss most of the analysis on the websites mentioned..... You go by ASTM Tests...
