I had a guy a few months ago where we were going back and forth with some talk on filters... I thought something was up by the things he was asking, but I just rode with it. He called me and placed an order for oil and filters for his bike, and then toward the end of the conversation, he clues me in. He starts with telling me that our (AMSOIL) filters actually exceed 12 Micron Absolute so they are far better than the 15 Absolute that AMSOIL claims. He works for a company that actually does testing on filters and one of their/his accounts is Donaldson which is where AMSOIL gets their Media from.

Another thing I find floating around the net, besides people cutting filters apart, which tells nothing about efficiency, is which companies make which filters. They then summize that because they are assembled in the same location, they are the same filter. What they don't realize is that there are at least 75 different Media's that could be used just for starters. You can only get so much filter for $2-3.00 .... Companies such as Hastings, WIX and others, make some great filters, they also manufacture $1.50 quick lube filters which meet MINIMUM OEM Specs..

Again..... you are wrong.....

Yes in colder weather the 20-w50 race oil is thicker but look at 100c as the oil warms up you have added protection so fully built evo motors making 1000 plus awd this would be a great oil. and then lets say you add in meth or alky injections. SSO is still the best oil for mild modded cars, heavy modded cars i think 20w-50 TRO
Really ? I would like to know where you got your info from .

That is not the stance that AMSOIL has or the former DMS guy I know. After less than 2 months in the busines, I would like to know where your conclusions came from and I am sure the other members would as well.

I think you should head up Tech Services, you are missing your call.

Also, so you know, AMSOIL is monitoring this Forum as of this afternoon.
