400whp with 98 octane.

Hi all.

I'm looking for advice and guidence from you all to help me with my turbo and injector selections.

Here is the deal.

I wish to make about 400-430whp.

I only want to use pump gas (the best pump fuel in Australia is 98 octane).

What turbo would best make this power without too much lag? (I dont mind a some lag just not excessive amounts)

Also I don't want to use alcohol/meth/water injection.

Lastly, with the turbo you recommend, what size injectors should I match with it?

Thanks for your comments in advance.

Look for some posts by 9sec9 or OKIX. I would go along that route. Below is a similar list of what they did.

In addition to your typical bolt-ons (exhaust, 255 fuel pump, boost control)
20G-LT/FPGreen w/ 680cc injectors. The Meth Kit will help with the fueling. Also get some Cams, port your intake and exhaust mani, and get yourself a 65mm TB. With a good tune, I think you can reach your goal.

Anyone want to add or take away from that list?

I you want that power level from a bolt-on turbo w/o using drugs(Alky), then your only option presently available is the Forced Performance EvoGreen turbo. For 430 WHP you are going to need full boltons. Another option is a turbo kit with a 50-Trim or a 3076 turbo.

98 octane R.O.N.(Research Octane Number) is equivalent to our 93 octane R+M/2 pump gas.

Further to my previous post. This will be with the stock block.

I am thinking along the lines of a 3076. (If used with only pump gas can you recommend injector size? 880cc?)

I've been researching this for awhile now, and have seen some people get some great results with a 35R (or the similar PT61) with a stock block.

I have a feeling that this might be too laggy though. I have read that some people claim that the pt61 (especially with the s-cover) doesnt lag too much.

Any help?

880's would work well with room for improvement

have you looked into the gt3065? thats another great option if you want more power then the 3076
