Obdii Po132!

Hey folks I got a check engine over the weekend and the OBDII code was PO132 (High voltage) My evo ix is driving fine, no power loss, boost issues, etc. Anyone have any idea what this code deals with and if I need to address it immediately.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Have you recently:

A) Changed your exhaust to a aftermarket one
B) Changed out your exhaust system with one that has a HFC (High Flow Cat)
C) Changed out your exhaust system with a system that uses a Test Pipe (Cat Delete)

All of these will give you that code. I know this cause i used to get that code all the time (and still occasionally get it). Your fixes are:

A) Put the stock stuff back on
B) Get a O2 sensor .....christ i forget the name...i think its something like an emulator
C) Put spark plug foulers on your O2 sensor and fool it into thinking it is fine (do a search for the write up)
D) Ignore it and eventually the light will go out but the code will remain and the light may come back on every now and again.

Hope this helped but without any information this is the best you will probably get.

Thanks for the reply. I only have an aftermarket cat back. Nothing else. So I just reset the code for now and will see if it comes back. Otherwise I will have to check the o2 sensors.

Peace

So I reset the code, and the CEL stayed off for about a week, and then after a long drive the other day, the same code popped up.

Anyone know if this is a warranty issue? (Less than 20k miles and and O2 sensor defective seems odd)

Thanks

Mitsu does not have very good quality, so I would not be very surprised...

as far as i know that code is for the front o2 sensor. yours might not be working fine. you might need to replace it. i think there is a bosch replacement for that. much cheaper that the oem. you might also want to observe your gas milage and see if there is a drastic change on your milage.
