PO243 code ???? Anyone???

I have a check engine light on and went to Autozone to pull the codes. Got 2.

A PO243 and a PO325.

I know that the PO325 is the knock sensor and may be due to faulty wiring for my SAFCII.

But what about the PO243? I looked on other sites for other cars and it sounds like a wastegate sensor or something...hmm..

Any help???

What were you going when the 243 code came on? What kind of boost was it showing when the code came on?

I had a 243 code and it was engine overboost condition, my MBC line was kinked.

Is your Boost Control Solenoid plugged in?

That has nothing to do with that. On the stock ecu with an MBC will create a 243 code which will be almost like the fuel cut-off, I just replicated it today. But the only bad thing it will keep the engine light on which will be a rich "tune" without some sort of piggyback or standalone.

EDIT: Yes the solenoid must be plugged in, read it wrong

I do not have the solenoid plugged in. I will try that first. I didn't find any kinks in the lines. Will not having the solenoid hose tips not capped off make a difference?

Having the electrical plug connected is all you need. If it was unplugged, that is why you got that code.
