Alright guys, i m planning on getting a 20G-9LT turbo for my IX, BUT I don't have enough money to upgrade the cams, I mean, it's either a bigger turbo, or better cams and yeah, anyways, is it possible to hit 400awhp with the 20G-9LT, 750cc injectors, 255walbro, bigger front mount intercooler with the upper/lower pipes, and a dyno tune on 93 oct.. I've tried searching through the forums and everyone seem to have cams in there setup, I would like to know if anyone here has the setup that i've just listed. thanks. oh and i forgot to add, i have a TBE also, with a cat delete.

 

yes but you will be on the edge with a really aggresive tune without meth.

 

do you think it'll be good for daily driving? if not, whats a good hp range for daily driving with that setup?

 

with a good tune i dont see why you wouldnt hit 400 on pump as long as its reliable. thats a pretty good daily driven hp level

 

I currently have a TBE on my car right now with a custom tune, and I'm hitting 309whp /273wtq. i m reading through all these forums and i'm seeing people with 370+whp/350+wtq with the fp green, and the aftermarket cams, thats why i'm confuse if i will be able to hit 400awhp with the setup i listed, somethings not making sense...help!!

 

Is it necessary to get 400whp right away? Save up for the cams and cam gears and install them later and tune it. There is a thread on here already talking about this turbo and other mods you could read over. If I come across it I can post the link here, otherwise try the search yourself and see if you can find it. I've heard great things about the green turbos. Good choice.

 

hey I was just reading up thru all the forums and I noticed that you live in Appleton WI. I have family that lives there. Sorry no help with your problem but I just pointed that out.

 

i saw al @ics do 447awhp with smc and 29psi no cams stock block with no head studs. i didnt think it was possible but his base flash put down 400hp 430tq but anythings possible

 

the first mods i slapped on my 9, injen i.c pip, hks intake, 255 fuel, b.c and al flash @19 psi
made 339whp 356wtq

so i dont see why it would'nt

 

Shouldnt have a problem hitting 400 with a green. Just make sure you have enough fuel,good tune, maybe meth or e-85.

 

We just made 399awhp with cossies and a green. Full bolt on. You will be right at that line. Very strong car though.
