Did you guys have to remove the heat shields to install the 02 sensor? Any other tips for removing?

un bolt the heat shiled bolts and it should be right there and disconnect the sensor coming out under the car then un plug the sensor from the test pipe or whatever you have then hook up the new one like you took out the old one

yea if i remember correctly just follow the heat shield all the way up and down the car. i think there was only one kind of tricky bolt to get to. but worry about that one last. not alot of room to manuver

Wow finally done! PITA! I just took out the bolts for the lower heat shield except the one thats right next to the a/c compressor. That looks impossible to get to . After removing 3 bolts I was able to move the shield around to get the socket in there.
