02 sensor removal/SES disable

I've searched high and low but haven't been able to fully interpret and decipher all of the information i've come across. Im hoping some of our ECU gurus can chime in and offer some assistance.

I am in the process of installing my aem wideband and wanted to put it in the location of my stock rear 02 sensor. I was hoping to completely remove the rear 02, replacing it with the aem sensor. I know that there is a How to on tapping the 02 sensors output and logging with it, and while i may do this in the future, it is not a necessity right now.

Im hoping there is some way to disable the rear 02, remove it from the car, and disable all the resulting ses's. Are there any patches/disable codes that will do this, or will disconnecting the rear sensor guarantee a light.

Thanks for all the help. Im hoping to get the sensor installed this weekend, and getting rid of the pesky lights would be great before i get retuned on tuesday

Brendan

Don't do the software disable before you shut your car off to take out the sensor, you will foul it. Don't mount your wideband in the cat, the heat will kill it. If you don't wire your wideband into your rearO2 at all you will still pull up CELs now and then.
