i say you just send the turbo to FP for the hta conversion
for $450 you get the tial ported housing and a 7 blade compressor wheel

how much are u paying now for the tial cpmpressor housing?

Heres a little story that you all may find interesting.
I have a gt35r with the Tial HTA housing.
And today something strange happend.
I was going through the gears at wot at 20psi, when I switched from 4th I heard a pop, the compressor whistle got louder, and I felt a dramatic loss in power as I got into 5th.

After that the turbo continued to whistle louder, and was really laggy. It felt like I blew an IC pipe/hose off.

When I got home, I looked and found nothing. So I took my air filter off, and found that the antisurge ring, had popped out about 1/4" from the compressor housing.

SO I believe I learned a couple valuable pieces of info today.
1) I learned wht compressor surge is
2) The Tial compressor housing is TWO pieces

Now Im not sure wtf I should do about this.
TialSport if you could give me some advice that would be great. The turbo was brand new when I bought it two months ago, and only has 2kmiles on it.

Thanks

Just wanted to let you all know that TialSport(especially Jake) kick ***!
Soon after I posted that last message, Jake contacted me about the problem. I sent the housing back, and had a new one in my hands in exactly one week (which was today).

Outstanding customer support!!!

Thanks a lot Jake.

To fight surge the efficiency map needs to move to the left. The air guides below generally add more in the surge area than it sacrifices on top of the map. Boost will drop a little but with very little decrease in airflow making the dynamic boost much higher and furthermore assisting spool. Really
