2.6L EVO - every been done in the usa
I like the 3.0l idea. the problem that you run into then is, no metal in btwn pistons. I did some displacement calc. with a friend of mine a few months back, and in order to make a stock stroke 2.0 into a 2.3, the cylinders needed to be bored to 91mm. now that leaves a little more than 1mm of steal in btwn pistons. the way I see it, I can take a 2.4 and bore it .040" over with a 106mm crank and be around a 2.7ish. I am a risk taker but I think thats as far as I would take it.

This would be interesting to see. Wonder if anyone in the US has really done this before? BC makes it sound like it is possible, however he never mentions any Evo test car or engine sporting this configuration. A functional 2.6L Evo would be devastating to say the least. Can you say streetable GT40R?
