question on trans case

got my car back from the shop a day ago and today i notice that there some t-case fluid on the ground so i jacked the car up and all the bolts are tight and doesnt look like its leaking for the seals. you can also see there is a bit on the down pipe. my question is, is there an overflow for the tcase or what?

when u say the shop u mean like a local shop or the shop in CT? if its a local shop thats close to your house, maybe some was spilled and poured down a little but that sounds like a u have a leak from the t case seal

If the shop fubared the seal between the tcase (which is easy to do if you aren't careful) and trans it can leak from there. It can also mix fluids and that is bad.

the morning after i noticed the leak and cleaned it off the day before

when i notice the leak the other day i looked under the car and this was all fluid that made it to the down pipe somehow.

this side of the tcase was also covered in fluid yest but i whiped it and it didnt start to drip again.

Either TC or Tranny fluid, both are red.

I may be mistaken on the stock fluids. I forgot that I use Redline fluids... Maybe someone can confirm on the stock fluids.

if that is redline fluids then that is t-case fluid..... the redline heavy shockproof is red kinda like peptobismal*(sp) and that is what you would use in the t-case.... so yeah i think the axles arnt seated all the way or the seals are bad....the shop was probably prying on the seals trying to pop the axles out

From the picture it looks like a significant gap between the axle and transfer case.
