Honestly, at this point we have no idea how Buschurs Mustang dyno reads compared to Forged's Dynamics. So basically, as far as numbers go its a guessing game when trying to compare numbers. We simply would like to put your car on the dyno make a few pulls and see how it reads. Obviously temp, humidity, ect. may be different from when you dyno'd at Buschur, but we would just like some kind of comparison so we dont have to guess how we are reading compared to everyone on Mustang dyno's and Dynojets. I hope that sounds acceptable to you.

That means 520 hp DD should be 684 at the crank. Although, this is a 37R so actually maybe that is pretty close. Many 35R's in the UK do around 600 at the crank on pump, so a 37R should do more, so I think actually this does make sense.

Just to back the underdog... I will bet on this car versus a BR car on pump

BlueByYou... will you make it to the track on pump soon? And if so, are you a good driver?
That was our exact reaction. I for one did not expect anywhere near this power for where we are as far as tuning it. As long as the motor reacts well, we plan to add another 3psi next week.

For comparison, a friend of mine with a VIII with boltons just dynod at Forged and put down 220whp... Another comparison, my previous setup was a cammed FP Green on methanol And I only hit 352 on this dyno. This is part of the reason we aare so curious to see what this car does on a mustang dyno and a dynojet.

Yep most stock turbo cars in the UK will never put down more than 300 atw tops on a DD which is pretty much the only dyno used over there. Which equates to about 400 at the crank, which is great power for a stock tubo.

Sharif is the first DD operator in the USA out of many that when I asked about Shootout mode said it reads the same as the mode he normally runs the dyno in. All the DD operators in the UK, and I mean every single one, do power graphs for customers in Shootout mode which shows all the details of the run which could effect power.

BlueByYou.. you should go to the track and just roll out of the hole and see what you trap. Would be interesting. I think you will do very well against the Buschur cars.

As soon as the car is track ready I plan to do just that. Ive been hearing alot of talk the last few days about how my car will line up against the Buschur cars.

Well it's only natural because you have fully built car, and a tuner who thank god, is smart enough to know you can run more than 23 psi on 93.

You don't have to guess as much when it comes to time slips

IMO, that's a dangerous generalization. The amount of boost that you can run on a particular fuel depends hugely on the car's setup. I'd be willing to bet that a stock Evo VIII won't run more than 23psi of boost on 93 octane for very long.

Dude the car is a beast period. Race it if you want, but don't get caught in the dyno crap. Just enjoy it.

Sorry I was not referring to stock turbos or mostly stock setups really.

Here is an example for you... many very stock cars run like 1.3 bar (19 psi) from the factory. Then people add a few mods and run like 22 psi or so. Now don't you think when you go to a 37R and massive intercooler you'd be able to run a good chunk more boost? The compressor is more efficient at higher boost levels in the 37R than the OE turbo, the hotside is larger so less back pressure, the intercooler is much better, etc... all of those things mean you can run more boost from the theory I understand.

But anyway, sorry for the off-topic... good luck getting the car ready for the track BlueByYou! Make sure to check your oil often, keep a close eye on everything under the car as it's a new build.

You should bring the car up here for the DSM/EVO Shootout next month. It's a great time and you can throw it on our dyno if you like. The shootout is a blast, you can't go anywhere else and get this many Mitsubishi's all in one place.

Come on up, you'll have a blast.

Keep in mind, this guys claims he is "expected" to run 9.2-9.3 his first time out and get booted off the track.

I need to upgrade the axles before I do any drag runs, and its highly possible that I will get kicked off after my first pass because Im expected to hit around 9.2-9.3 with a good launch with this setup... lol

Just get your car fixed Blowinbluesmokeupthewazzu and we'll setup the race.

I may do that, sounds like a great time. I'll have to see if I can make it up there for that. Thanks for the invite.
