lambdalink & knocklink
Hi all,
I am thinking of getting a lambdalink O2 sensor & display and also knocklink (detonation sensor & display) for a permanent install to my EVO 7. This would also come in handy for future tuning if i decided to get a fuel computer. Has anybody tried these products or anybody using other types (if so, can u please share it with us)

how much is the lambda link? I think I would invest money elsewhere in a more widely known unit like a Motec PLM or FJO. I've heard that the Link ECU's are good units, (when they work) but there's almost ZERO support. There's a big thread going on over on the Subaru boards with their standalone system...issues after issues....fuel pumps just turning off themselves. Still...no support from Link. Problem going on for over a year now.
Hello,
I was asking about a Wide band Sensor also, check out my thread on this issue. Someoned mentioned this new product from the Innovative Motorsports website and it seems to be the same if not better then the competitors. Another great feature about teh lamba sensor it is only 250usd!

I have a lamda link for sale - $100.00 shipped - comes with a spare subaru 02 sensor - you can add a bung to your exhaust to add the extra o2 sensor - OR wire it into the factory rear o2 sensor
I have no experience with the Link ECU unit itself but a couple of my friends who are STi users uses them with success. I think most aftermarket ECU should be quite capable to meet non-extreme race condition tuning (fuel & ignition) as long as the tuners themselves know what they are doing. When some people prefers 'HKS F Cons' over some other brand, it would simply mean that they are familiar with that particular ECU or know someone who are well versed with that particular computer. Our local tuners prefers 'HKS F Cons' over MOTEC, HALTECH, Link, Autronic, APEX PowerFC simply because they are partly an HKS authorised distributor and they have been tuning with HKS F Con series computers for a long period of time and would not bother to look at other alternatives. I would prefer to go for the Vishnu XEDE but since I'm on the other side of the world, I don't think so. Support is the issue here.
Back to the wideband sensor issue, what are everybody else using on their cars ? or would an air/fuel ratio gauge that taps into the factory o2 sensor be sufficient for normal usage (not exreme mods like big turbos and extreme boost).
