Knocklink sensor

Has anyone used the SAFC to monitor knock. I was told it would do this. I lost my manual to the SAFC so I cant find out myself. Does anyone know about this? I was going to purchase the knocklink system but if the SAFC does it why buy it. I also need to know if I can keep the factory sensor or change it to a Bosch like the knocklink uses?

I can't speak for EVO but for the 3000/Stealth the SAFC's knock monitoring is useless

why don't you use EVOscan and setup a gauge to display knock, that's what I do.

Will you please explain what you mean by, "use Evoscan", and, "set up a gauge"? Does this require driving around with a laptop on the passenger's seat? The nice thing about the KnockLink device is that it has a really bright, eye-catching, red telltale light that indicates knock.

Edit: Maybe having both would be nice, because, I assume, the Evoscan method displays degrees of knock retard and has data logging capability, while the KnockLink device gives a warning alert, but no readout of the degrees of knock retard, and it has no datalogging feature.
