Shifting problems

I've got a ACT street clutch and I've been able to shift lightning fast with it, absolutely no problems with it for the past 2 years. Thats up until my WHP went from 250 to 370, after a proper tune. Now every gear locks me out until the rpm's drop below 2800 - 3200. I can't shift fast at all, and alot of times it grinds and is really "notchy" I've got to give more force into gears now --more so than the normal Evo feel. This pertains to all gears.

So, my question is:

Do I get a Shep tranny or would replacing my clutch w/ a twin disk - or some other beefy clutch solve this problem. Its REALLY annoying. and both options would cost about the same. I've also considered a shep trans AND new clutch but I really don't want to dump 2K+ on the problem if I don't have to.

thanks.

Clutch line

If they did anything that might have touched your clutch/shifting system.

Check your shift cables.
Rebleed the clutch line properly, multiple times

no, the tuner did not touch anything under the hood besides attaching the few cables needed to do the pulls on the dyno.

I've re-bled the clutch line since - actually I did the whole braking system and I figured might as well do the slave cyl.. I've had the SS line in there for 3+ years. The restrictor was removed at that time also.

I'm gonig to re-bleed it just incase I missed something and go over the cables also.

re-bled the whole braking system and clutch, no air in the lines. I'm really stumped as to what is causing this problem. The slave cyl. seems to be actuating properly also.

I'm going to install the brass shifter underhood bushings and the under console bushings, and see if that helps before dumping alot of dollars into this.

anyone have an idea otherwise?

Have you adjusted your pedal up at all? I have to adjust mine up a half turn every six months or so.

Edit: In fact...I was more than the normal notchy during winter so I gave it a quarter turn and fixed it all up.

Edit 2: I have the same clutch as you.

ahh... no way! it cant be that easy lol. Never even crossed my mind to try that. Thats probably the exact reason why i can shift fast, the clutch is not dis-engaging all the way. I'm to definitely adjust as soon as i get home.

I'll be sure to give it to ya when I see you next.

I still have to get my t-case rebuilt. I notice a pronounced whine between 52-60 on the freeway. I am wondering if this is the beginning of the notorious death whine?
