Intake help

Ok before I begin i will be getting a tune very shortly from mellon and i realize thats why my a/f ratios are crap and my car wants to stall at a dead stop. My question is should this affect boost levels? I was boosting around 21 psi before I installed the injen air intake and uicp, now i only peak at 15. I have a mbc and didn't touch it at all during install. Also, the DV seems to be backfiring for less of a better term, is that normal before a tune?

I'm not experienced with working on my car and this was my first real project, so i just want to see if it could be anything with the set up itself...

Thanks...flame suit on

Switch you bov back, you've got it backwards.

that hose is suppose to go to your bov nipple. i don't know how you hooked up your boost controller, but i have mine from the turbo nipple to the bottom the mbc and from the wastegate to the side of mbc. i didn't tee mine off to the bov vacuum source.

Looks like your DV(BOV) is backwards now and the vacuum line should go to the top of the DV. Without that line the DV will not work correctly. Also with that end open you have a vacuum leak.

^ beat me to it. I agree with using the turbo outlet nipple instead of the T.

Yes your DV is backwards. Also as others have said it is also not ideal to have your MBC teed off the DV vacuum line. Once you put the DV back on properly and eliminate the MBC tee off the DV and put it on the turbo nipple instead, your car should run right, assuming the intake itself and/or tune is not a problem.

Thanks for the help, I'll give your suggestions a shot tomorrow.

Quick questions though:

Right now obviously the open end of the tube goes no where, the bottom of the T is going to the left (as i have it set up) of the MBC, where does the other end go? Just trying to learn a bit here (majorly inexperienced with working on my own car)

There is only one hose coming out of the DV correct? So thats suppose to mate up to the left of the boost controller? There is a nipple of the actual intake pipe, what is that suppose to attach to?

Thanks guys, really appreciatte the help
