Ok so im replacing the fan on the pass side in front of the ac condenser to make more room for my 4in thick intercooler. My question is how do i wire in the new fan? the slim fan has only a 2 wires. The stock fan has 3 wires black and blue&red stripe and a red wire. What is the red wire for???

I don't own an evo but I'm guessing the red is the positive and the other 2 may be ground. 2 different grounds for 2 different speeds. Low speed and high speed.
Your slim fan probably has just 1 speed so if you wire your neg to the 2 wires and your pos to the red wire the fan will turn on when it's supposed to. Except that it will be on one speed only. Not a low and high.

run it to a switch..
or just try splicing into the red for the positive and the greens are probably momentary grounds
