To all those who say this outlet won't make any power, why is it that most new LICP's make a good 5-10whp? Why wouldn't this add to the gains?

Lets say it even makes another 5whp above a normal pipe. Are you really going to pay an extra 300+ bucks for one?

Edit:
How many user accounts does this meek automotive guy have?

Because they don't. There isn't a single non-vendor dyno showing any improvement at all.

The Meek piece looks like a copy of the Ralliart Intercooler Piping that I have on my car. That is not a bad thing.

Hi Guys;
I can tell you, hand on heart, that these hot-side piping kits work real well and improve flow and accelleration and give continuous pull at the upper regions of the RPMS in 3 and 4th gears. Instead of running out of RPM around and after 6000 it kept pulling and dropped the lap times by almost around second a lap, slightly more, in testing. In our class, stock, we were allowed to now change the piping on hot side of the turbo, and these performed. For what you'll save in exchange will pay the freight on the exit pipe off the turbo.

Everyone's input is always good, and should never be taken to heart, but these pipes open up the restriction the factory puts in for noise, and hp limits. There is also many things that MEEK do to open up the stock engine without going crazy, and I can tell you on the last tarmac rally we beat the new GTR's on the stages, all with a stock evo with MEEK piping.

And on the latest rally we beat most (all but one) the factory EVOXs. That says alot, and all we had was this piping kit and a MEEK flashed ECU.

We dont take changes or expenditure lightly, and we found this system to be very effective.

If you do get the kit, you will enjoy the RPMS at the upper end.

Considering Meek is still a non-paying Vendor, it might be vise to contact the mods to get that resolved prior to moving forward to push your products. And if you really want to shut up the nay sayers, get a US distributor to push your product and get it on some cars this side of the world with some real dyno numbers. Hell send me one. I will get it dynoed for you!

The stock outlet is designed to be restrictive, and the Ralliart version is designed to open it up. Ralliart, being owned by Mitsubishi makes the parts the evo engineers WANT to put on the cars, that the NVH engineers dont want on them.

These outlets are designed from the Ralliart ones and have the flow required over the stock units.

The pic of the outlet backwards was done to show the design and flow, so you are correct in mentioning that.

For people like us that dont have the cash flow (anymore) to throw lots of money at the car, we rely on our almost 30 years of racing/rallying knowledge, and good equipment.

Ive usually used Autronic, but decided to stay with the stock ECU with the MEEK flash, and I am pleasantly surprised. and so were the Factory evo 9's and X's at the last event who had $15K in ECU's and $15-$20k Suspensions. For now we have walked all over them, but that is more being smart with money andsetup rather than just throw money at people hoping it will give talent along with a checkbook.

We have a new challenge though, Pikes Peak in June. And we look forweard to coming in for it, and seeing how our guess goes for setup, etc.

Was going through these threads looking for some info on hotside pipes (was going to buy a ETS LP2) and I thought that the last post in this thread was interesting so I looked up Jeff and found this.

I know this is old news but I might have to go and see Mr Meek.

I may only be new to this site but I took my Evo to Chris at meek and he was fair priced and saved me thousands of dollars just by knowing these cars ( rear diff noise turned out dealer filled with motor oil) and I have his hot side pipe no other major mods and the car screams well worth the money!!!
