Just an update. I just ran 118mph in the 1/4 with the Evo III 16G on my car. Boost was up around 25 to 26psi with a spike to 29psi. The turbo was flowing over 44lbs/min of air.

Damn your 16g was flowing close to what my S20g was (48lbs/min) @ 26psi w/ no spiking.

Jemm,

Havent hit the dyno yet, but so far I am very impressed with the 15GK2 turbo. It spools as early as the 16G. I can swear that they are IDENTICAL in size (maybe the difference is on the height of the compressor or the inside diameter of the compressor that I did not see). I tried it with 21psi all the way to redline and it was pullin like crazy. I had it on 24psi but did not rev all the way to redline yet since I was afraid of fuel cut.

The turbo was a direct bolt-on as expected. 1 water line was about 1/2 of an inch longer, but it was still a bolt on since it was connecting to a rubber water hose that had enough room.

Gotta hit the dyno soon. Ill keep post.

STi
Watch out, STi.

There you are Jemm! No dynos today (school,4hr drive to closest dyno), but I gotta tell you, lag is very minimal in my car. The engine seems to idle A LOT smoother now because of the lighter turbine.

Any tips on boost cuts or fuel cuts with this turbo? I reset my S-AFCII to zeros for safety for now!

Hi, good work. Did you take any pics?

I am not sure about the US Evo, but I know the E7 starts fuel cutting at 1.5bar of boost with the stock ECU. You got 24lbs!! damn... look forward to seeing your dyno & A/F readings with the new turbo.

Oh, I was installing RnR's o2 eliminator downpipe. Just made it easier to get the o2 housing off. I didn't want to risk damging the a/c condensor with a wrench.

Nice, let us know if you really notice a difference from the drivers seat. Those in the know say no. I'm still up in the air as to if it is really needed on the OE turbo. I'd think with a solid design, you couldn't help but gain a little.
