406WHP/373WTRQ, bolt-ons and meth on Evo IX, DD dyno
So, how bout your numbers? Maybe we shouldn't "believe you" either (like chris really cares who believes what anyways). You made 370's and only trapped 116 while chris trapped over 115 with 329 at the wheels. Sounds to me like YOUR numbers are a little high. And fwiw, I've worked with Tamer on my tune and I know Mase very well also. I don't think you can really say anything about what kind of time Mase put into the tune compared to what Tamer put into yours. In fact, I'm not even THAT big of a fan of Mases tunes but I'd throw money down on it that he's MUCH more of a capable tuner than Tamer.
First off don't talk **** if your car hasn't gone as fast. Second this is not a tuner battle. Point of that was that tuners will not tune a car on the edge nor spend hours making sure it is perfect. Not saying Mase does but no need for it. I have worked on more evo's then times you have stepped foot in your car. I know what power they make and with what mods. Don't try nut swinging for your buddy. I am in South Florida right now so no I won't be at that dyno day. I have my own dyno so no thanks. I also ran my car at Moroso which is hands down the worst tray on this planet. You also just say your buddy trapped 114 so where is the over 115 trap coming from? Stop changing the story. Like I just said if your gonna try and attack my car then you better have a faster one which I doubt you do.
Look who's talking ****!!! lol First off, you don't know me and you don't know my car so you really don't need to be making claims of how many evo's anyone has worked on and whatnot. Secondly, nobody is nutswinging. I was just pointing something out which is what we already know. Dyno's are tuning tools and nothing more so the variance in Chris' numbers can be looked upon in the same way as your numbers when traps are involved. Third, the 115 trap is what his highest trap has been. The 114 was I believe with his best ET. Lastly, my car has gone as fast, and faster. And that was about 60whp ago with a slipping clutch so any time you wanna come up and put your money where your mouth is I'm WAY down. Count me in for the next N. FL. vs. S. FL. weekend. Now, enough of the thread jacking and lets see those traps!
Lets see the times..Funny to me how some people get so hyped over somebody elses car..A fast car is a fast car..PERIOD..There are gonna be haters everywhere..And tuner jocking..Everybodys tuner is better than evryone elses..And your dyno reads higher lower than ours..Who cares..REV,are you happy with your car??If so..awesome..And that goes for everybody else..He came posted numbers, that were reported to him by the tuner..Whether the tuner changed correction factors or not..Thats not what the dyno sheet shows to the consumer..To me the numers for pump do seem a little high..But, its not for me to judge..I say congrats.let him be happy with his car,and evrybody else be happy with theirs..Things like this is what keeps knowledgable people for coming on forums and helping out with things..It just makes everyone look bad..From veterans to the newbs..Just a thought..Justin

what a horrible night in gainesville. Cars breaking left and right, got 3 runs in total. Couldn't avoid the water box.
First run was a 12.002@118.5 spinning bad out of the hole. The next run I got sideways on the launch, had a horrible 1.95 60' and to top it off the car in the lane next to me scared the crap out of me when it crashed and i thought it was going to come into my lane. Somehow managed a 12.05@117 while getting off the throttle twice. The third run i just botched trying a different launch method due to the water. This was over about 5 hours. I really need to go to Valdosta, I am done with this gainesville crap. Absolutely horrible night.

The quality of the launch affects ETs more so than trap speeds. Nevertheless, with better conditions, it looks as though the car should trap 120-ish.
I feel this should more or less end further speculation and debate, and puts the dyno numbers in proper perspective.

What was the trap at the 8th and where did you get out of it when you were making the passes? Can't deny the fact that I expected more and the results are a little short. So, before the attacks start, I'll insert foot to mouth.
I'm still curious about the 8th traps if you got out of it up top. I can't believe how bad Gville has been since they finished it. I don't think I've heard one person have a good night there yet. Ah well, I still think it's capable of more but that's just me running my mouth again. lol

on the first pass the trap was 91 and change and the 2nd pass the trap was 92 and change. I'll get some better passes in soon. Couldn't really gauge that 1-2 shift too well, normally i hook a lot better. Tire pressure was 24psi all around.
Still good but I think it shoulda been around 94-95 to really be pulling consistant 120's. First time out with that kinda power too though with a ****ty track so who knows. I'm out of it. lol
yea i was there, chris almost got taken out- a 10sec 5.0 in the other lane hit the wall luckily nothing flew off into chris' lane and no1 got hurt.
and RevMoto i seriously want to know what kind of gains you saw from switching ur manifold to the borla, did u test it without modifying the tune at all just swap and do a pull. I do porting myself and have seen better gains from running a stock ported and coated manifold than an aftermarket one (on stock turbo) due to the lack of twin scroll design in most aftermarket mani's or crappy design period. i have actually tried several different manifolds and saw a much better gains on a ported stock one. i have never tried the borla though, im not trying to dog your setup im just curious. it has always been my theory that the 600+ dollars you spend on a manifold worth maybe 5hp could be spent on something that gains more power, unless of course you have already done everything else
