Which tranny is best for road racing? Which is stronger for power...im not saying im goning have a lot of HP neither...which is tougher...im getting mixed answers. The tranny off of the VIII is good once it has the JDM 4th and 5th gears i believe...but the IX MR 6speed has a close ratio like VIII..once the JDM gears are put in. i've also read a couple of forums about how the IX 6 speed tranny sucks but i havent read anything on the IX 5speed...is it the same as the VIII? if any knows about the X tranny i would like to know too...but i understand its to early to tell...

The MR tends to have cooling issues when tracking it unless you can keep your sessions under 15 minutes and its not blazing hot out. So for tracking it stick with the 5spd. As far as swapping JDM gears in and out of the trannies I havent seen anyone ever post about that. I think at that point just about anyone who has upgraded either their tranny or TC have gone to shep to do a serious overhaul that is almost bullet proof.
