Most will say it depends on your power goals. If you plan to stay stock, the 6spd will be just as good as the 6spd. Even if you want to run a little more horsepower, the 6spd will still be ok. I assume if you want this to be a DD, you will not be going overkill on the power.

searching would tell you the following

in the six speed are 4 5 and 6 are skinnier

the six speed only becomes an issue in two circumstances...

a lot of torque - 450+
road racing that requires fourth gear for extended periods of time

^ they break too. I agree with Chaotic's post. I'm enjoying the hell out of my 6speed.

if it weren't for my car being abused by the original owner, my 6 speed would be perfect. it grinds into 4th during fast-redline shifts, otherwise, it's smoother, quieter, and better geared for a daily driver, compared to the 5 speed.

I've owned a gsr and an MR, so I'm not biased.. I absolutely love this transmission.

Creeping up on 150k...what should I do?

This answer your question? This guy hit 150k on his stock tranny.

You'll never get an exact answer for questions like that. Many things come into play; IE: How you drive; Mods on your car; How much you drive etc...

The search function on this site is really good. Use it!

Everyone, or mainly the folks who decided to respond to a question asked weekly? You're best-off doing your own research, as suggested earlier.
