The long block is almost done. I forgot to take the key off the stock crank, so I wasn't able to finish the timing belt, etc. It actually looks like a real engine now.
Head studs in:

Exhaust ports on the head:

Intake ports on the head:

Cams in:

Where I had to stop on the timing belt side:

Intake manifold installed:

Close up of injectors and phenolic gasket:

Other side:

Wrinkle black powdercoated valve cover:

FP Green goodness:

Money shot:

Low End For Real!
I Made 400 Tq on 91 oct with the stock airbox and Stock Head...
My car has gsc 280 cams too! that's cool you have a complete set up
I have to do some Head work for real... your car is going to be awesome man! the low end torque is very similar to the high end surge of a 35R... you won't believe it...

Today I went with my body/paint guy to pick out a paint color. I'm tired of the red and I wanted to do a flat dark paint. I settled on a porsche color, code 23f, known as Slate Grey Metallic. He'll be scuffing, priming, painting and then laying on a flat clear coat that has less than a %20 gloss. Here's what it looks like on porsche's:

I love threads like this and yours is one of my favorites yet! You sir, have good taste. Sorry if I miseed it between all the great pics, but what are you using for engine management? I'm also a RR VIII owner who wants a grey car, so I love what you're doing. The black wrinkle powdercoat looks incredible too.

I'll be using the stock ECU, but with a custom patch that allows me to delete the factory MAF sensor and run in speed/density. I believe the stock ECU is good for huge HP numbers, as long as the stock MAF sensor is removed.
Matt I remember reading your thread on speed density with the stock ecu until your car blew up. I was wondering if you found out the cause of it all.
I have been having some problems of my own and Im lost at this point. Not to hi jack your thread but im lost at this point looking for ways to eliminate as many possibilities as possible. lol.

I'll be testing a revised version of the patch that compensates for air temp and sudden throttle changes a little better.
If you want to come to Norwich sometime, I can put you on my dyno and help you trouble shoot.
Wow thats cool thanks for the offer. I had no idea you were located here in the NE. I have had no luck with anything. Shoot me a pm or aim my s/n is yzrida250ss.
