I am excited to see what sort of power this makes. I like the idea of a little more air but the thought of 10.5 Green power with stock quality spool is pretty exciting.

Add to that a price drop and free kit for the 8 and this is going to be the upgrade of the moment.

There is an inverse difference of course, above about 4700 rpm, quite a bit but not as much as below 4700.
Point #1 - there is a big difference,
Point #2 - there is no way ball bearings could make this much difference.

After you go to this link you have to pick the thumbnail of the dyno chart.

This is what I mean and want to know if there is a big difference with the twinscroll type turbo like the Evo Green, with 9T,9.8T and 10.5T.
Maybe the difference is not so big as with the StiGreen single scroll, because it is twinscroll?

I this example with the single scroll Green, I will pick the 7cm over the 8cm, far lower threshold and about the same top end. It is just what you are looking for I guess.

I would like to see the same graphs from the HTA Evo Greens with the different hotsides, just like with the Green 7 & 8cm for the subbies.

Another thing....in another thread I saw a comperison of the old and the HTA GT35by AMS. Threshold was even a bit lower than the old version. I thought all the HTA-wheels would give a lower threshold? So I am hoping the new Evo Green wheel does indead give a lower rpm spool-up then the 'old' version like Robert says it does.

He stated the new HTA Evo Green 10.5T did spool as low as the old Evo Green 9T.
I hope AMS does the same back to back test with the new HTA version.

A 7cm2 or 8cm2 housing on the STiGreen, what would that translate to on the Evo Greens?

(PS if my english isn't 100%, excuse me I am just a flying dutchman!)

It's not on the website yet?! They said they would be shipping in two weeks and this thread started April 18th!!!

This means folks should get the first ones at midnight tonight!!!

Sorry guys. I know this may add fuel to the fire for the reading impaired but I could not resist.

The price will drop, and since 90% of the world has a 8 instead of a 9 you get our turbo install kit with the turbo as a free gift.

When? Golly, pretty soon. Maybe a week or two? I know that half the guys that read that sentence did not see the word "maybe".

BOOST ON!

Robert Young
He said MAYBE in a week or two. Not two weeks.

I was asking on JUST the price for the UPGRADE itself!! Not the whole price of the turbo. So maybe you should go and re-read the whole thread yourself

Yeah, I have all the same questions. I hope FP and Dave Buschur can get together some good test dyno runs to show us what the HTA green really has compared to the regular green.

Lets see what happens...I would like a green but like others said, its way too much for what you get. Maybe im cheap...but $500-$600 plus my IX turbo would be the most I would pay.

Yes you are cheap.

The Green is probably the one of the best deals in the Evo world.

There is almost no loss in spoolup, it makes an extra 30-60hp from 4000rpm to redline and it never needs a refill like Nitrous or Meth. It is also much easier to install than both of those and it still looks, idles, and drives like the car is completely stock. Is there any other single part that can do all of that for the same price? The only thing I can think of that can even add that much power while still looking stock is a stroker kit and a good one of those costs twice as much as a Green and is WAY harder to install.

And now the HTA Green is coming, which will be better and cheaper?

I say vote Robert for President and Aniel for VP!

What would you pay for a stock repair on your IX turbo that required a change in both the wheels, and a rebalance? That's your $600+ already...

With a Green you get much better compressor and turbine wheels, PLUS a COMPLETE REBUILD for $995 (Buschur's web site upgrade price to a Green from a stock IX). Essentially, a brand new high performance turbo for $995 with your core. Horsepower per dollar doesn't get much more reasonable than that.

FP Red for me so I can make the best use out of all my ported intake/exhaust components Oh, and my car looks far from stock, but I love the cast exhaust manifold so much I never plan to get rid of it. Plus, what would I do with my ARC mirror-finish cover if I went tubular? Blasphemy

I guess that would be fair after its all said and done...now lets look at the turn around time.

I think the turnaround time is just a function of wheel availability, but I hear what your saying Hopefully we'll all be happy with the timing, but I'm sure we'll be happy with the performance.
