Hold on guys. I put my first two paragraphs up so all this crap didn't start. For those of you that support us, please don't fall into the arguements. I stayed out of the other thread completely, not a single post and neither did anyone else that works for me. I see that isn't how they are going to operate on their side but it's OK, I put up the challenge.

I did one better though. Today I took the video camera with me to the dyno, I started the camera, opened my dyno parameter screen, video taped and explained what the roll weights and parasitic multipliers mean and showed what I have mine set at (actually what the MD factory set them at). I kept the camera taping the entire time, put the screen up for the dyno run, got in the car, started it, showed that the RPM on the screen matched the rpm on the tach inside the car and then did the dyno pull and zoomed in on the screen. There can now be absolutely NO doubt what my settings were at the time of the pull and if I was taken up on my challenge we can review the video to show that everything is set the same.

Now, the pump gas. I said "93 octane from I don't know where" simply because I drained this 93 out of VWJeff's car and had it sitting in the can I put it in. I tuned the VWJeff's car on this 93 octane he showed up at our shop with and then dumped it into this car. VWJeff can chime in and let us know where the fuel was from but it is 93 octane.

BTW, this thread wasn't started to brag about an overall record, obviously this car doesn't hold the overall MD record as someone else has posted higher numbers on a MD. The thread is just about ANOTHER 500+ whp pump gas EVO we've built. How many is this now? Lately it's been one per week I think.

I put up an offer to keep this thread clean. Either take the challenge or shut up and stay out of the thread. It's pretty simple. I didn't go into the other thread and crap in it, even if you guys do want my stool samples. Now you can leave this thread and go back to your own.

The offer stands, I have the proof of how our dyno is dialed in all on video so it will all be fair.

It doesn't matter to be honest. My car will be going on the dyno soon on 93 and to be honest and then off to the track. I'd say when it runs 9's on nothing but 93 octane in the tank that will put an end to any doubters. I'll be sure to video tape that too and get some witnesses for it.

Also the test will be done at Buschurs on his MD dyno. That way we know the #'s are legit.
Uhhh....I think if it were any dyno it would be legit as long as they were done back to back on the same one.....stupid comment.

I agree, that any dyno as long as the runs were back to back and the dyno operator was very closely watched would be a fair comparison.

The fact is I put the challenge out there first to save all the arguements, it didn't really work though. haha

Question for ya Dave.

If one where to have to shift to 5th in the 1/4, do you see a 2.3 becoming an advantage over the 2.0?

Thanks

The video is not getting posted. Jarrod had a very good point about other people playing games once they had our settings. They are recorded for the challenge.

I will tell you I have spoken with two other MDAWD500 owners in the last two days. Comparing the roll weights (which has a MAJOR effect on the HP readings of the dyno) my weights are the lowest so far by over 200 pounds.

No, if you shifted to 5th the car would not be as fast or as quick. Building this particular car though with a 4.11 gear would be deadly bad ***.

Is it the physical shift, or the ratio of 5th that kills ya? The fifth I am refering too is the 6mt fifth. Thanks

The shift and running the car in a gear that overdriven both kill the car. The 5 speed car would be horrible, ****ing to 5th in the 6th speed isn't that great either.

Bring the cars out to MY dyno and do it on 91!! It isn't that far from where you guys are . Then we can go back to Outback again Dave!!!

This stuff is crazy!! Cars are making good power and there will always be a variance in any dyno. I know both parties involved and both are very capable of building world class evo's. I guess I will never understand why people keep doing this. I bet if everyone sat down, drank some beers and shot the **** everyone would have a good time and customers would benefit in the long run from people working together and not against each other.

Either way awesome build Dave you never cease to amaze me man.
