I know quite a bit about what I'm talking about. Don't take an comment with an obvious point so personally.

Let's just look at your statement. "this turbo.... pulled on a Red". If you were comparing a Red in heads up power to a prototype with a stock turbine wheel, there's no way under the sun that it would "pull on a Red." Your statement was inaccurate, incomplete and misleading, which is demonstrated by the post CBRD later made explaining what YOU apparently were trying to communicate.

You didn't run this turbo against a Red, even on a street pull. Someone apparently dyno'd the two, and under conditions that didn't even get into the powerband, if they were dyno'd using a max of 25-26 PSI. Anyone who has ever looked at a set of dyno charts would know that, all other things being similar, a smaller turbo will spool quicker than a larger one. But, quicker spool doesn't equate to "pulling on a Red", or you could say the same thing about a stock turbo. That would turn the meaning of that statement upside down. The same is true about HP comparisons, because the dyno runs didn't hit the boost pressure where the Red produces exemplary HP. It's like saying "I'll race you at 3000 RPMs and see who's faster". No useful information there.

My original statement stands. Your post stated that the stock turbine wheel prototype "pulled on a Red". It didn't. And if it had, the problem would have been with the driver or the tune, all other things being equal, because the Red has way more capability due to its larger turbine wheel than any stock turbine wheel using prototype would have, and so has a natural advantage.

Do you have a wait list because I'd like to get on it? Funds are ready and I'd like to make a trip to the shop.

I did understand that you had the Red. It's BOLD and RED in your sig -- kinda hard to miss. I think you'd agree that 379HP on a Mustang dyno is not close to scratching the surface of what the Red will do.

Did you race another car with your Red equipped car, or was your post based solely on a dyno comparison between two different cars, one of which had a Red, at low PSI on pump?

If you want to say what CBRD said -- pulls at 25 PSI on pump gas were compared and were similar as far as that went, I take that at face value, because it is what would be expected at that boost level--where the Red is not even breathing hard yet. But either way, it sure didn't "pull the Red" in any normal use of the words.

LMAO...

ok guys, lets get back on track...

the cars were of similar power, boost was at 25ish psi, our car was quicker. That being said, the car with the red does not have all of the supporting mods....

The difference was the car with our turbo had a fmic, the other didnt, it was stock.... both had cams, both turbo backs etc.... the car with the red had a WG dump, ours did not.

anyway, im going on the dyno now with the new version...

there is SORT of a wait list..... we have about 25-30 people saying they want it in PM's.....

ok......

we may not take cores on exchange, but if you send your IX turbo it would be a 2-3 day turnaround TOPS!.....

the car is on the dyno now, and im extremely pleased, except my IDC's jumped well over 100% (say 127% hee he).... so now 780s are going in.....

at 1.5 psi less, its made more power and torque than just the compressor upgrade.... and.. its only 300 rpm slower on spool..... then its CYA.....

I was pleased with the comp upgrade alone (BBK lite) but this is working great.

injectors going in now. For all of our good clients that have waited, and new ones that have been waiting...... we are certain you will be very pleased with these results..

cheers
