Chad, once all the testing is done and the final version is ready to be announced would it be possible to post dyno charts of what power figures this turbo is capable at moderate boost levels as well as spool characteristics? Say 24-25psi? That would be a huge selling point for a lot of us on the forum!!!

I'm sure everyone wants to see what an Evo 8 & 9 with just about every bolt-on can do with your turbo @ 26psi. I just wish E85 was more prevelent around are part of the woods.

Thanks for being so open about what people want to see. Seeing results before purchasing is how a product should be sold

I think anything between 22-26 psi will suffice for the not so hardcore enthusiasts of the community; and since I know you must have more than a few charts of stock IX turbos with comparable mods and similar boost levels, then it would be even better if you could throw one out there for reference purposes, just to gauge a on the deltas.

I know you are very thorough at you do and this is the reason why this endeavor has taken this long, thus I know you will supply the community with ample data of what to expect.

I'm defiantly going to look into this turbo 22-24psi on pump?

Chad, I've love to make about 360whp on pump with the next set of mods (bbk, etc.) on your dyno. 301 is getting old, haha. The first pull down route 30 was amazing, but the amazment only lasts so long

Cali2MDevo8, I do believe there is a station with E85 place in Lancaster, PA. Quite a hike just to fill up, though

also these are 25-26.5 psi pump gas numbers... not 38psi on race fuel or meth.

The reason this turbo is taking sooo long, is because our goal is an all around delivery turbo, not just peak numbers.....

Now,

we are testing the final version on the dyno tonight

looking forward to your results. from what i gather in this thread, the turbo sounds like it will be more of a FP Green style turbo and not quite the Red in terms of boost response and flow capacity.

put me down for one of the pump gas, minimal mods guys that are interested in secret sauce vs. stock 9 turbo from 22 psi up to the practicable limit of boost that you can push while still running pump and a stock ecu.

I'm certainly in the market for a turbo upgrade I can use in time attack. Something with close to stock like spool but able to do 400whp+ with all basic blot on car,FMIC,TBE,02 housing/o2 dump,injectors,cams/cam gears, and fuel pump. With somewhere between 24-26 psi on pump 93 oct. I think this is what most people will be interested in.

Put me on the me too list. Definitely need some HP help for next season, but I want useable power, not just peak numbers.

Any idea when your going to have time to put Caleb's 9 back on the dyno with the 780cc injectors?

ok we did the injector tuning last night.... we picked up about 20whp.....

to give you guys a reference...

calebs car stock is about 220/225whp
with a tune at 23 psi, turboback, open element filter, fuel pump was 279/278
with the BBK Lite, and a BR fmic it was apprx 335/295 (26psi) stock injectors
and last night it was at apprx. 365whp/336wtq with the BBK test turbo at 27psi- 780 injectors

the car does not like timing up top, which is hindering a little power (its been like this)....

I am EXTREMELY pleased with these results.... the car does NOT have cams.... and the temps were higher than the other times this car was on the dyno....

780ish injectors are a must from what we are seeing right now... it was WAY WAY out of the stock injectors.

this turbo is doing exactly what I set out to have it do... its providing us with more peak hp and tq than a stock IX turbo.... and its only losing about 350 rpm in spool up and its peak power is right at redline, while peak torque is right at 4000rpm in 3rd gear...

Ill get some charts cleaned up and posted in the next few days... we are going to test a few more things with it.
