Was Calebs car still fitted with the Perrin airfilter kit, that produced some nice power huh? Is the Perrin intercooler as efficient as the BR race intercooler Chad, as it looks very good as well? Pretty late here mate, I'll check back tomorrow.

Cheers Steve
Steve,

we really like the perrin intake, we are starting to use more... they require a retune in my opinion to see optimal gains... it did lean the car out a little because it was less of a flow restriction...

as far as the FMIC, I honestly feel the BR RACE is the best we've used... we have used the perrin before and it worked well... we have had probably EVERY fmic possible on cars here... including our own

turbine and compressor...

jm fab exhaust mani will go on saturday and ill retune it.

kreionics car is going on the dyno shortly, with the compressor upgrade only, but with a JM fab intake mani and BR head.

Are you planning to test at high boost? It would be useful to get a good comparison to other stock frame aftermarket turbos.

car #1: BBK, 780s, Fuel Pump, Hallman Pro Rx, BR Fmic, Dc Sports Downpipe, Cobb Catback, Intake- 83 degrees 41% humidity

car #2: Stock IX turbo, fuel pump, hallman pro rx, ams fmic, dc sports downpipe, hks catback, intake- 68 degrees 36% humidity

at the same boost levels you can see we lose about 350rpm worth of spool up.... I did not put a boost plot because I wanted to get HP/TQ curves.... I can add that later.... there is an AFR plot for both, showing that they were tuned similar, car #2 was a little leaner.

once it hits peak torque, you can see the BBK has an advantage all the way to redline... I wish we had cams in this puppy...

here is that plot..

Here is the plot against a car with an HTA3076R, BR Race FMIC, COSSIE M3's, etc... EVO IX...

you can see an obvious spool up difference... is this a good comparison? well, for what we wanted yes... because we have lots of clients that ask about HTA's, our hybrid stage 3 50 trim, and stage 4 setups..... but everyone seems to run them on pump... so that was the point of this comparison....

Had our car had a set of S1's in it, i think we would see more torque and even more high rpm power.... NOW granted, the HTA is running at 1.3 psi less boost, I still dont think running it at 25.3 would have made up the difference AT ALL in the midrange... its just way too late...

here is that graph...

ill post some more data later, when I can.... with boost plots

but this is just FYI stuff for now... im very happy with what we have come up with... our clients have been waiting for us on this... and Im happy we are at this point.

cheers

CBRD,

could you possibly post a FP Green vs the BBK that you have tuned?

And like we talked about today Chad we can gladly test the car on E85.
