CBRD secret sauce turbo upgrade!

the red is a nice turbo, i think its a great solution for people on race gas etc in stock housing...
our turbo was designed mainly for pump (or meth) 22-28 psi for auto-x road racing etc... ultimate in transient response. Kreoinic should break 400whp on his car once we get his turbine wheel in.. on the comp along he made 384whp... calebs car is on stock cams, stock tbody, stock intake manifold... and it made 377whp... so i was impressed.

Sorry about the misspell Shacochis..
Nothing sinister - mainly I think the similarity of the *shapes* of the curves in your FP Red dyno and the BBK Prototype dyno is quite striking. Also the fact that it's the same dyno, both bolt-on cars, both running pump gas, both runs baselined against a stock IX turbo on each car etc.
Of course sharp eyes will also notice the differences - different dyno scaling, cars differently modded (esp cams), and how the base IX turbo pulls in each are different. Also can't account for differences in boost, etc.
Nonetheless - the BBK is looking like it puts down a very similar power *curve* to the FP Red from what I see - two turbos with pretty quick spool compared to stock, excellent midrange torque and very strong high end.
Put another way - the pump-oriented BBK looks like a nice segway into an FP Red (which likely has more potential for growth), if that makes sense.
Good times to be an Evo owner.

yeah, very similar.....
i wish we had cams in calebs car..... i think we 'd pick up 10-15 wtq from the S1's and another 18-20whp... which would be mega....
the red does well..... so does the green.... lots of good options...
we wanted a turbo readily available to our walk in clients and thats how this project started. We are considering a larger compressor upgrade... but I would have to really do some serious thinking before we did this... as this turbo is fitting the bill perfect for what it's goals were...... we rarely have a race gas tune on the dyno... almost always pump....

What do you think it's suppose to mean?
He's comparing your car with Calebs. From what I know, the cars are different in it's stages of basic bolt-ons. I believe you don't have an IC or cams and Caleb doesn't have cams.
The slightly smaller wheel of the BBK help with the TQ difference.
Like Chad said, if I was planning on running E85 or racegas, I would choose the RED, but I have no plans to run either until E85 is more widely available.
Whenever two similar turbo's are available, they are going to compare them. Don't think he was saying anything bad about your RED Shacochis. Just comparing them partner because they are on the same dyno, but like stated, different days, scaling, temp, boost, turbo, etc

and he saw what our compressor upgrade alone can do

The bbk is gona be a sick turbo and especially since it has a 3-5 day turn around!! People are going to have these on there cars in no time....
I just wanted to know what he meant by posting the dyno graphs...i well be back on that dyno for revenge and hopefully break 400 on Chads dyno should be ordering the ic this week from buschur (hopfully the have them instock)

Of course i have cams...Cosworth M2's....i wouldnt just throw that turbo on without cams as i see it being pointless
