car #2: Stock IX turbo, fuel pump, hallman pro rx, ams fmic, dc sports downpipe, hks catback, intake- 68 degrees 36% humidity

at the same boost levels you can see we lose about 350rpm worth of spool up.... I did not put a boost plot because I wanted to get HP/TQ curves.... I can add that later.... there is an AFR plot for both, showing that they were tuned similar, car #2 was a little leaner.

once it hits peak torque, you can see the BBK has an advantage all the way to redline... I wish we had cams in this puppy...

here is that plot..

Here is the plot against a car with an HTA3076R, BR Race FMIC, COSSIE M3's, etc... EVO IX...

you can see an obvious spool up difference... is this a good comparison? well, for what we wanted yes... because we have lots of clients that ask about HTA's, our hybrid stage 3 50 trim, and stage 4 setups..... but everyone seems to run them on pump... so that was the point of this comparison....

Had our car had a set of S1's in it, i think we would see more torque and even more high rpm power.... NOW granted, the HTA is running at 1.3 psi less boost, I still dont think running it at 25.3 would have made up the difference AT ALL in the midrange... its just way too late...

here is that graph...

ill post some more data later, when I can.... with boost plots

but this is just FYI stuff for now... im very happy with what we have come up with... our clients have been waiting for us on this... and Im happy we are at this point.

cheers

Serious turbo nerd boner alert!!!

Fantastic looking curves...like my stock full bolt in IX turbo torque curve, just amped up a fair bit and...oh my...lookah the new powah up top!

I will gladly do, um, international desert heat testing for you if you'd like to send me a ""prototype".

Nah j/k - I would actually love to pay you guys for all the work involved in developing something like this.

Add me to the waiting list please

did some C12 tinkering with an upgraded actuator...

C16 next week... ill post some results...

we are trying to run all of the C12 out of the car so caleb can run it at the track tonight...

its confirming our original design goals.... its sweet spot is 22-28psi.... over 30psi its not as strong as its larger competitors.... but it MEGA for torque in it's intended boost ranges.... YUMMY.

cant wait to get these things out there... we should call it the CBRD SSK "Super Smile Kompressor"

So should we expect a little more lag in power/tq than a green, but more oomph up top for a 25psi bolt on car? The graphs look good

Hmm actually it looks like slightly quicker spool compared to the average (pump 2.0l) Green dyno, along with a little less peak torque and but more top end.

Shape and point of intersection of the curves is what looks very promising to me at least...I like how the torque kicks in early and hold at peak just long enough for the power curve to show up and keep the show rockin' on up.

Then again, just one dyno graph.. but I've still got wood.

I'm very interested in this turbo, it makes great power over the 9 turbo with very little lag, but its my daily, wan't to keep it on straight 93 octane. I have a 9 with full bolt ons and looking to upgrade to cosworth m2's very soon. I think this turbo would be perfect, but once again keeping it on the stock rev limit and on 93 while still having hopes and dreams of 400ish whp with a fun and very usable powerband, wondering if you could PM me the pros/cons/ more info.... very interested. THANKS!

we all know theres the red and the green, the other stock bolt on's, I'd jsut like to see pros/cons/comparions thats all

Strap the BBK on to your 9 with all bolt-ons will make 400 easy on any other dyno besides a mustang, especially CBRDs mustang dyno.

soon, just waiting on the final batch of turbine wheels to show up...

with the upgraded actuator the boost did hold a little better, in the midrange, not much change up top.... ill do some overlays... at this point I dont see the need for it....

Will be very interested to see the final pricing and the final test results.

I believe you need to run 780 injectors with this turbo as well right?

Any idea what production capacity will be? I know resources must be limited but I hope it's not going to be a wait-6-months scenario after it goes in to production as I see quite a demand for this thing...

780's respond very well, we run out of the stock injector at about 22psi....

i have some very good 780 maps, so if anyone buys a turbo i can supply a map for a flash until they get a custom tune

we tested it with the comp alone (which is an amazing little upgrade for auto-x etc... transient response between gears is better than a stock ix or 8 turbo)....

the turbine upgrade helped a good bit with torque..... pm me for more details if you dont want to read lol lol

MMM basemap scaled for 780cc injectors with each purchase...that's very tempting! What brand of injectors do you favour?

PTE 780s work excellent....

thanks to working back and forth with JESTR and using them on multiple cars, we have them dialed in.
