hey guys....

sorry, this still isnt the "final" version of our turbo. There are a couple of variations out there... the main testing was the compressor wheel....

There are versions out there with different clipped turbine wheels, we are still waiting on the new turbine wheel itself. It is taking some time, and we dont do anything quickly LOL!!

our goal was a turbo that matched or outperformed the green, but at a slightly less price point, and mainly, that we had in stock, or could turn around in 2 days.

there are over 100 evo ix cores on the shelf to build them new, so that part is covered.

We have tested it on a few 2 liter motors (evo ix and evo 8 with 10.5)... and it spools identical to stock on them depending on mods, in one case, on the evo 8 we saw slightly quicker response on spool.

I dont want to hype the turbo too much until its in its final version. FP has some great products, but we like doing our own thing (such as our radiators) because we dont feel one solution is right for all customers.

I think right now, the compressor wheel alone with just a clipped turbine is a great option for autox guys, because the part throttle response is just MEGA.

Ill post a crappy video i have of an evo 8 running it.

cheers

I dont know, I havent been following the green thread...

we have considered doing a larger compressor wheel on this, but the development time, just takes forever lol!

the nice thing about the evo X, we can slap a 50 trim right in it

I am not saying anything bad about the green turbo in any way I just want to make that clear!

I had a green back when they first came out when Buschur was selling them as the 20g-9-5 and they were switching over from the 20g-9-6 units. I had a 20g-9-5 unit on my car and was very unhappy with the spool characteristics of the turbo. I sold it and did a different setup on my car....finding myself going back to the stock turbo every time.

This unit is perfect, it spools identical to stock and holds boost, exactly what I was looking for!

Everyone is looking for something different this just happens to be the exact turbo I needed....

Very impressed that someones interested in making a bolt on solution that doesnt involve a $1700 solution, cant wait to see the actual end price and results, but it sucks that its so far out though.

This turbo sounds great, especially if it can hold 25psi on a stroker. Usually the power drops off on 2.3's which gives hope that it may be able to do even better on a 2.0

Is the turbine wheel larger than the stock one? And, do you have to machine the turbine housing to accept the bigger wheel?
