Has anyone heard of BYC racing?
Those #'s arent all that bad it a DD dyno. Only 26psi we don't know what the timing map looks like either. Im guessing there is still a bit more in this car.
I run a brand name IC on my car but these IC's out perform the stocker as far raising the knock threashold and that really all that matters.

i use the BYC intercooler also and its awsome. no signs of heat soaking. i got full bolt ons (as seen in my sig) on a stock turbo and put down 371awhp. the intercoolers work great on the stock turbo no qeustions ask. best bang for your buck. if you had a bigger turbo then yes buy ETS or AMS. but stock turbo no need.
ok sorry guys i've been away for a while as im sure he mentioned like 6 pages ago i just read through the thread and saw a lot of miss information about both the intercooler and evo as usual. anyway here is the latest update i got a new evo VIII im putting the intercooler on this weekend and scheduling dyno time and will make no excuses i will post all data i find before and after. if i can find one i will get a IAT sensor to test air temps. this evo is running just basic mods drop in filter, dejon tool, turbo back with stock cat and a tune by yours truly on 91 octane **** gas. i have these intercoolers and will be the primary contact for all interested.
my car is ran back to back 7 HARD canyon runs in 100*+ heat with this intercooler and had no problems. also have ran at HTM willowsprings open track 30+psi over and over again lapping it with no signs of heatsoak or loss in power. i dont have info in front of me its somewhere in the thread but 3.5" i think its HUGE. i will have new pictures of the install on my car and the dyno.
i log everytime i drive my car and it doesnt knock with the tune i have now and thats on stock intercooler with boltons i listed earlier i drive my cars hard. 21 psi with 15-16 degrees of timing at redline on 91 octane no meth no knock anywhere. right now i dont even have my wideband in and im tuning off narrowband lol it pulls really hard so w/e no knock. i will probably up the timing with the new intercooler but for the dyno sake im not changing the tune at all just straight swap and the third i will have a tune pre programmed for the new intercooler
i would definitely want to see it with some more timing to see if it will support that. i trying to push 24-25psi on 93oct with LICP, K&N cone filter (stock intake pipe) 3"TBE with testpipe and stock cams. and i would like to add a little more timing to her
if that core you guys have holds i will more and likely get one from you to try it out since i cant get a $700 unit right now lol.

like i said i love it shoot me a pm and i can get u one this week. i garuntee i could add at least 2 degrees of timing to it. my current tune is pretty half *** anyway lol i dont even have 2byte load or anything on it its like tuning blind with the damn narrowband too haha
ok sorry just got off a field op my friend dropped off the intercooler last night at my party lol. it will be on the car and tuned this week. im gonna call tuning tech and see when i can get on the dyno. streets of long beach formula Drift is this weekend i think so probably not this weekend but soon i will get it on the dyno to get numbers. detailed install pics and everything will be up this week.
