A big +1 on that buddy. Don't let some jerk off try to tell you where to spend your money or what to support. Your money, your decision!

LOL. That's funny, BYC racing should change their name to one of those.

It's been awhile since I have updated this thread, but better late than never. My car ended up having bent valves due to a cam install error. After I got all that mess situated I got the car tuned. My evo 9 stock turbo made 355 hp and 360 lb. ft. with E-85 @ 26 psi.; mods are all the bolt ons (meaning ported IM, TB, and EM) on a dyno dynamics.

There were no signs of heat soaking. The only way I could have determined the efficiency of this intercooler was to measure the intercooler temps after each dyno run, but I wasn't going to do this. I missed driving my car and I just wanted it running. Basically the intercooler did not cause any problems.

Overall the intercooler holds up fine and is one of the higher ends of "E-bay brand" intercoolers, but If I could have done this all over again I would have saved the $240 and bought quality.

Now, let the flaming continue............................

^^^Stop being a tool. I Had an Ebay intercooler and put down CONSECUTIVE 420+ dyno pulls with e85. I'd keep it but MAPerformance is making me a new intercooler for my new set up. It's funny cause the cores look EXACTLY the same.

wtf are you talking about. i said nothing about his intercooler. your the tool. his numbers seem low if he has FULL bolt ons with all that ported stuff. i have a few bolt ons and i made more power on a mustang dyno....

what dyno did you get dynoed on?
p.s. change you sig to BIG CHINESE KNOCKOFF INTERCOOLER...

ebay= junk
support the people that support the r&d of new and improved parts for your car. not a company that just tries to copy everyone elses hard work.
bottom line

the ebay ssautochrome IC works great. The fitment was perfect and the packaging was great. I dont know why people complain it doesnt work and it sucks. The car dynoed 340whp with it on a 102 degree day with like 10 back to back dyno runs. Its a 05 evo viii with bolt on's and hks 272's

You've been bashing everything on here that isn't AMS or buschur. I was on a Dynojet, but i don't know how that matters, yes they vary between brands slightly but dyno's are tools not all mighty horsepower number calculators...

What makes you say "Ebay=Junk"? do you have some proof? like your ebay intercooler that heat soaked all day long? YOUR'S not someone elses. they skew numbers to SELL products. I'm not bashing anyone here just saying if AMS said the ebay intercoolers were not half bad then everyone would get one instead. Do you get what i'm saying?

well dyonjets are proven they read high and have less load on them then what cars see driving on the road. hence why they read high hp numbers. but this has been talked about time and time again. my car is about 440 on a dynojet. so that shows you the huge difference.

to clear is up
I NEVER HAD A EBAY INTERCOOLER.
i would never waste my money on one. im still on stock IC making the numbers im making and when i do upgrade. i will be buying a buschur because its been proven time and time again.

if i wanna spend my money on quality stuff i know that has been proven time and time again i dont see the problem with that

but this thread is just a huge pissing contest now. i could careless what everyone else buys for thier car. not my problem

So you're allowed to spend your money how you want but others are not? AMS and Buschur both make good intercoolers, but there are plenty of other good ones too. You should probably just keep your mouth shut now and learn to respect other people's decisions even if you do disagree with them. Sure BYC isn't the best, but to a lot of people saving a few hundred dollars is worth having something thats not the best but at least better than stock.
