What would you guys recommended for a road going EVO 9 MR with bolt-ons and stock ECU? HKS 272? JUN 272? I am looking for no loss in spool and maybe even some gain if i can. I also want as much TQ as i can get out of this motor. Might go with a BBK turbo as well. I am looking for 400-450 hp and EQUAL tq! Thanks

Do some searching in this thread and on the forum. Just depends on what you plan on doing witht the car and where you are going to spend most of your time in the rpm range. S2's would prob be your best bet for street, but dont count out those S3's either for even more top end power and about the same drivability.

S3s have been known to idle better than S2s because of the overlap.

Working on some new ideas

Hi, sorry to bother u. But i have bc 280 cams in my evo 8 now. I set mine at zero on both side because i dont know what degree to set both the intake n exhaust side to get the best result. Would u help me please???? I have try to set it before n sometimes it detonate or knocking( set at -2 on both side). Then i try to set it at -4 on intake and -2 on exhaust, but still no power showing in the tuned. I know it suppose to be a secret for what the setting of degree on these bc cams but i dont want to throw these away n buy a different one. Last time i tuned, i only get 377hp/360torque @ 27psi

Here the list of mod i have:
GT3076R dbb internal wastegate(22lbs spring)
Bc 280 cam
Bc valve spring retainer
Wisco piston 8.3:1
Manley rod
Fenadez adjustable cam gear
Ported evo 9 exhaust manifold
Muse dumptube
3" downpipe and 3" exhaust w/o cat
880 precision injector
C.O.P. Kit ignition system
Delete egr kit and block off plate
Air density(maf deleted)
Complete injen turbo lower and upper piping
Oil catch can with breather filter
Fuel rail and adjustable fuel regulator

Can someone help me to find the right setting of degree on my BC 280 cam!!!
I know these are the only cams that required set of degree to max out the power

Thanks
Grimmspeed boost control
Walbro 400 fuel pump
Prosport boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure gauge
Aem afr gauge

This is Dustin from BC. That is an older design profile as we have newly designed cams available now but the power numbers are way down for the set up. It sounds to me like it may be experienceing some overlap which would could be the problem. One of the problems with aftermarket gears is that sometimes zero isn't actually zero. For the mods listed I would install the intake on a 108 intake centerline and the exhaust on a 112 intake centre. If you are not putting a degree wheel on the crank and just adjusting the gears then you can retard the intake 1-2 degrees and advance the exhaust 1-2 degrees. My direct line is 619 749 9018 or you can email me direct at dustin@briancrower.com and I can walk you through it.
Another thing to check is to make the cams are genuine as there is a very big problem these days of people reboxing products and selling them on eBay and the forums.
