No way that car's gonna gain another 11mph.

Just from sitting back reading all this regarding these 2 Mustang Dynos and the pump gas wars, I definitley think Buschurs reads lower no doubt. I do believe that DTMs dyno does read like a normal Mustang dyno though, I just think Buschurs reads the lowest of any Mustang dyno. With that said, I am sure that the car that made 600+ on DTM's dyno would be around in line ~550-570 on Buschur's dyno. The only real way to end this would to have a 550+ BUschur cars or DTM's 600+ car go to each others dyno, one or the other.

I didn't mention the 02 housing leak because as anyone knows, at WOT the factory ECU doesn't use any 02 feedback, so it has NO revelance on the tune. Not sure why you would point out that it does.

The car does have a severe 02 housing leak though, two bolts are completely missing at this point and you can hear the leak. It is after the turbo and will have NO effect what-so-ever on the power at WOT and fuel trims from the factory ECU do not work at WOT.

I do believe you (Nick) that your dyno is set up how it was from MD. For whatever reason though it reads considerably higher than ours. I also now you have new software, a customer was at your place before the new software for dyno work and called me and told me his numbers were to high. He was at your place again after the new software and his numbers were back in line with what he had in the past.

I only posted this as a comparison. As I say "It is what it is."

Dan did tell me he was happy with your tuning and the car was strong as hell, as he said. I did not bring up your tuning or post any AFR graphs. That is not the point of my post.

My dyno is open to you anytime if you'd like to bring something here to dyno. I would be willing to dyno my own car first so there is no worrying about anything being changed just for "you". I know your answer is "no" to my offer, I am sure you are as busy as I am. I can't go over there to your place either.

The car you dyno'd at 620 whp would have to trap atleast 143 mph to back up those numbers. If you compare it to my car it would have to trap 146. Looking at the combination of parts used on the build (other than the turbo I am unfamilar with) I say no way will that happen on straight 93.

Neither of us have "hallway monitors" to check on what either of us is doing or if we are both using 93 octane or what other tricks might be going on. For all the rest of you (observers) you have to just read all this crap and go from there.

Dave, yours is an RS that is fairly light, which I assume leads to the higher traps. Joe's car is also an RS, and I'm not sure what all weight reduction was done, but that's an important factor to keep in mind.

Dave,

Does the mustang dyno calibrate load based on what is entered for the cars weight?

Do you keep the weight entered into the dyno the same for all cars?

What would be the difference between a car that weighs 2800lbs, but the dyno was set to read at 3100lbs?

You'd think Mustang Dyno owners would want to get together and compare if their dynos read the same. Get in the car, drive to BR, dyno the car, drive back to DTM, dyno the car. End of story.

Either that or do what BR did and back up the dyno results with track times.

Hey Dave is there a way that your guys could run at a NHRA certified track? Ive always run at 3 different tracks to see what the difference is. It could be a pain with all the certifying and cage but it would be a good way for you to show back to back testing just like the dyno testing

Not trying to start anything here Dave

I would think most Mustang Dyno owners would leave their settings how the Mustang Setup guy set them, but then again you get more than one guy setting up these dynos and the settings aren't going to be 100% the same. Does kinda suck, but thats how life works.

Also I highly doubt any popular shop has the time to run around and do those tests you stated...

Not a problem. All 3 of us will be running at Norwalk next weekend and we will be going faster because its a better track. No cages and all.

In my STI, I picked up 2 tenths and 3MPH by going from Dragway42 to Norwalk.

Paul, if you saw the POS track they ran the 10's on you would swear there were better roads in a third world country... SloRice to run 10's driving around potholes now thats something to be proud about.

Good discussion goin here and nice to see the thread remain "civil".

I wish we had a track close enough to us to run sub 10's w/o any from the officials.

There are a couple of local MD around my area and the one i use (Full Function's) tends to read on the lower side as well..........i don't mind as long as the car moves out and traps like i think it should
