Mustang Dyno comparison.
overall, great thread..
DTM and DB have hit on some good stuff that, imo, other tuners should definitely be looking at and a lot of people should take note of.... particularly that after you get a tune/dyno run, you only get a number and that's all it is... a number

These dyno comparisons are a complete waste of time. You have done three different dyno comparisons from your dyno and Tims dynojet. All three cars made less HP on your dyno but the percentage loss was completely different on all three cars. 7% on one,12% on another, and 18%on yet another. David I am surprised you had to start this thread. Your builds have proven themselves at the track and thats all that matters. If anyone wants to beat your records they need to do it on the track or on your dyno. And leave it at that.
Just from sitting back reading all this regarding these 2 Mustang Dynos and the pump gas wars, I definitley think Buschurs reads lower no doubt. I do believe that DTMs dyno does read like a normal Mustang dyno though, I just think Buschurs reads the lowest of any Mustang dyno. With that said, I am sure that the car that made 600+ on DTM's dyno would be around in line ~550-570 on Buschur's dyno. The only real way to end this would to have a 550+ BUschur cars or DTM's 600+ car go to each others dyno, one or the other.
... I say bring it DTM.
what criteria ( or info) are you using to claim that a mustang dyno is a "True hp" reading dyno? does ford, dodge, chevy, nissan, ect use a mustang dyno set up exactly the same as buschurs dyno? I dont know, thats why im asking. what dyno did mitshubishi use to get there claimed whp numbers? wouldnt that be a " True hp" reading for the evo community to base all dyno reading from?

We're dying to be there, but it doesn't look like we're going to be able to make it. vwjeff, I'm proud for you man. You've got one bad animal on your hands. Hope you do well next weekend.
Your more than welcome to mapquest some directions to come down. I'm sure that we can line up a few to take you on if you would like. **** you can take your pick out of a lineup of vehicles that would run you for free.. I'll even cover your gas and tolls.
I hope there is a change of plains and you make it out!
If you dont make it up next week, well better luck next time
Screw dyno numbers, they are a point of reference and the machine itself is a tuning tool. Only three numbers matter in the grand scheme of things; vehicle weight, ET, and MPH. For those of you claiming big numbers then get your asses to the track to back up your mouth and dyno numbers.
Sorry for that rant, just got off the phone with some idiot who wouldn't shut up about how great his dyno queen is. Bla bla bla.
I aint coming down there... well just maybe Dave and I can make a road trip in my Evo down there (NO TRAILER). Next weekend is your chance at Norwalk. Regardless of buisness, you can make time, I am more than sure your loyal customers would understand? I speak for all of Daves customers, when I say that "we would understand".
If you dont make it up next week, well better luck next time
