If E85 is available in your area, that'll give ya some torque!

A test pipe will not diminish torque. Anything that relieves pressure on the exhaust side will improve things, not the other way around.

How much torque is generated with a factory turbo is largely a factor of appropriate hardware, boost pressure, and tuning.

^true story. Boost spike is where you are going to see peaks. a good WG actuator on stock turbo will help smooth out your torque curve helping you hold higher boost longer

More boost will increase your torque numbers, additionally if you don't have enough ignition timing your torque may suffer since the engine will not be making optimal power. Smoother boost will also raise both torque and HP numbers.

22psi on stock solenoid with pill removed vs 25psi on AEM solenoid

I am in the same boat. 350whp and 309lbft on a dyno dynamics. I only run 21psi peak though. I always wondered why everyone else got so much more TQ. I always thought it was the low boost and Helix cams (awsome cams BTW) being set at -4/-1. My car is very sensitive to timing at peak TQ. I think I only have 2deg or so.

Resurrecting this thread for some opinions:
I have a JDM 7 on a stock 9.8T running 21 psi

Mods are:
Apex'i MAF adapter + Filter
GS 3 port
Forge WGA
DC Sports DP with cat delete
Blitz Nür Spec Touring Catback exhaust

VD measured
293hp @ 6297rpm
264 lb ft @5516rpm

Doesn't that tq figure seem a bit low considering the stock wtq figure?

I was told by a shop that their crazy TQ numbers are specfically related to the way they port their head, hence why they charged a bloated amount for their head.

Well stock tq is around 240 lb ft if I'm not mistaken. With all my mods I'm only 15 above?

Stock torque is measured at the engine, virtual dyno is a calculation of torque at the wheels. Find some dyno plots of stock torque at the wheels to give you a better Comparison.

Thanks for the input Tim, i searched but had no luck finding dyno plot links that werent broken.

However for comparisons sake, before I installed dp and catback (my cat was gutted though) I registered 244 lb/ft tq @ 4766rpm 267hp @ 6547rpm
From all ive heard and read without seeing an actual plot, around 240-245 lb ft is stock at the wheels for 8's.

With the decat dp and blitz catback installed, after a tune I registered 264 lb/ft tq @ 5516 rpm and 293hp @ 6297rpm

A really nice impressive gain although it should be noted that ambient temps were probably a decent 5 deg C cooler for the post exhaust install run.

Now, looking at many other dyno plots on here, I see that most builds similar to mine have peak tq and peak hp figures that are closer together, mine have a gap of almost 30 pts

I'm just trying to figure out if this indicates a restriction at low rpms or something...
