Why not? Have you seen the compressor map for this turbo? This is the 'sweet spot' of the wheel. With 0 knock where's the fear?

Sounds right to me. I picked up about 80hp on my 95gsx (AEM,pt67,hks 272's blah blah blah) when I tuned it back in 2006.

I think I still miss that car.

And I picked up 60hp on my 95talon (dsmlink,scm61,stock cams, blah blah blah)

Even felt the difference on my 7mgte supra (vpc,60-1, more blah)

My stock civic didn't feel the difference,,,,lol

I almost forgot on of my favorites... audi 1.8t QUATTRO BABY (50 trim was SNAPPY)

I wanted this car to be like one of my buddy's 35r car. Really expensive to mod Audi. I'm a cheap bastard.

Hey Urk, congrats i didn't get a chance to say that earlier because i'm a little busy today. I'm sure will a little more tuning 500whp won't be a problem for this car! Oh and by the way don't ever post that pic of the crew at the dyno ..

Also, In case you didn't know Ricky is finishing up the white evo for the shootout...I hope he can finish it up today..And i'm planning on leaving on Friday with waynespeed and a few other people for Ohio. This should be a fun weekend!!

lol
That pic was classic.

I'll be stopping by Top Level today to lend a hand. Make sure you guys won't do anything I wouldn't do while you're out there.

Waynespeed is a cool guy. He was very helpfull with running the dyno software for me last night. He's ok in my book.

How many cars are you rollin with this weekend?

very nice, but the only issue I have is when you mix random gasoline octanes like that, its so hard to recreate the same mixture. So the tune will be off, no? Either way, good luck man

Thanks Steve. You are 100% correct on guessing octane when you mix fuels. What I try to do is have at least a half-tank of 93 and throw in 3 gallons of the "hennessey" for a little protection on those days that i know i'm going to be beating the car up a little. The tune ends up super safe that way (11.2-11.4 afr's and 0 knock).

By the way, I have to worry more about remembering how to launch this car than my tuning ability. I SUCK! Ran 12.20@117 today with a cheesy 1.96 60 ft. I wanted to datalog the car for a few passes and try some more timing, but my track time was limited to 3 passes.

First pass, car bogged hard.

Second pass, i burned the SHEEEzy out of the clutch.

My wife needs a little coaching with the camera;;;;

Time to head back to the lab for a second round of street tuning, followed by a trip to the dyno.

On my things-to-do list---
-Tighten up the leaky BOV
-Take the cat out ( for off-road purposes only of course)
-Put some straight c-16 in
-Dial-up the timing (datalogged 8deg at peak)
-Take a refresher course in awd launching

That's pretty solid for your first time out. Turn the timing up, 60fts down and some rock solid 11's are next up!
