it is what is.. curt brown also went 9.33 and 155 on a standard 35r NON HTA over a year ago.. there are things that none of will ever know and they know from years and years of experience..
In an AWD platform that's going to be what it benefits from the most.
It's not like the car was transformed into a RWD platform and eliminated all the weak links of the OEM AWD setup.
On my car when I did the same reliability was the main benefit and that's based on a RWD platform to begin with.
When you do your home work and reach to those levels you will discover that the traction can almost be duplicated from both platforms meaning 'IRS' vs 'Solid'. What can't be duplicated is the reliabilty although now there are many IRS setups that match in terms of reliability. I know a couple of 'IRS' record holders that are using 8.8 & 9 inch 'IRS' setups.

But like you said we will never know?
Why not just do what the domestic guys have had to do.. classify it by tire size, video tape the runs and the tires.. Thats the ONLY way to regulate anything.. 26x9 or whatever.. No matter how much power you make, youll have to figure a way to get it to the ground on the same tire as your competitor.. what do you think??
Wouldnt the car have to be RWD to be Outlaw? Does a dogbox trans make a car Outlaw? Does a 3000GT rear diff with solid mounts make it Outlaw? Does Lexan windows make it Outlaw. I would have to say any car that can not go to their state Safety Inspection and not pass(except loud mufflers and cats) should all be Outlaw.
yeah and your slip still says 9.27 but you stick to the 9.21 time you made up on your own..
