I am happy to have had the chance to talk with your very skilled tuner who showed me what was going on in your AEM box which was very bizzare. In the past I have also experienced occasional AEM issues which can pop up when you start making big power. It's very frustrating to say the least. You guys exemplify class and style in the face of adversity.

Yes this event is well worth the trip as an EVO Enthusiast.. Even if you dont bring your car, taking the trip is worth it IMO.. For a race that was DSM / EVO only, the entire Norwalk pits were full from the gate to the staging lanes.. I was shocked at the turnout..

We should start planing a CT convoy now. It's only about 10 hours by Evo

Isn't the 3g network lovely? (typing and driving).

I finally got home, showered and just sat down to relax. Man.... what a weekend.... a GREAT weekend. I must say in the 5 years ive worked for David this was the most pleasureful shootout ive had.

First I would like to give a BIG thank you to everyone for coming out, supporting the event, hanging out, etc... THANK YOU!

The weekend overall was GREAT. We were very busy at the shop yesterday as well as busy at the track today but it wasnt the type of hectic, stressed out kind busy. It was very fun to be able to meet alot of people face to face as well as just be able to hangout and BS.

I met alot of new people this year. Shared alot of laughs & had some good conversation.

LiL Rico you're my boy! Im glad I finally had the chance to meet you in person. P.S.-Dont lock anymore keys in cars.

Jestr... It was good meeting you and having the chance to hangout. You have to love the ricers! lol Good times. Thanks again for the shirt!

Mike from AWD.... I have to say that you and your crew are a GREAT, standup group of guys and we're proud to have you as a representative of Buschur Racing! Hey Chris are you still working on that? LOL jk Nothin but love buddy!

Oscar (raceman)... good job at the controls of the Evo X & congrats on your win. Also good job taking Phil's car down the track. I know he was thrilled to see what its capable of. You're a cool dude! Im glad I had the chance to meet you.

Victor from BVP... it was a pleasure meeting you and your guys as well as Rollo. You're a good group of guys! Im glad you're happy with the BR products that you run on X and also that you guys made the trip all the way up here. Congrats on the win to you as well sir!

Then..... there are my "old" friends. Its a one time.... maybe twice a year thing when I see some of these guys. Big Al, Tom & Tony Powell, 2.3 Evo 8, Indy Evo, Kevin Lawson, 8thwonder, David Lowe, Curt Brown, Dave Bruszewski and I cant forget my homeboys Caleb from CBRD, VWJeff, Spin2GST, SloRice, Matt Smith & crew, DragNRacing and EvoLunchbox. Its always fun!

I know I forgot plenty of names of people that I met but I think I talked to 500 different people this weekend and on top of just being beat & tired. Its nothing personal.

Also congrats to Dan Buschur for driving the heck out of our black drag car to a 8.96 with the 37R on the first pass of the day.

I would have to guess that this was the biggest shootout we've had to date. Thanks again for everyone who came out.We truly appreciate all of your support!

Im going to bed now. Take care!

Yup, can you imagine next year. I will never miss this event ever again I had a chance to meet everyone and had the pleasure of having dinner with some heavy hitters. There aren't enough words to describe how perfect this weekend was. Many thanks to the Buschur family for the hospitality.

The shootout was a blast! So many impressive cars, it was overwhelming. Clutch problems kept me from accomplishing anything, but oh well thats how it goes. I got to meet a few of you and everyone I did get a chance to meet seemed really cool. I will be back next year for sure. Hopefully all weekend next time

btw thanks to everyone who had a part in putting this awesome event on

the announced and track owner Mr. Bader read the list of all the home towns of all the racers who came literally from all over the USA - and Canada. Wow

Speaking of the track. The track is the nicest, cleanest, best run facility I have ever been to. Thanks to the Bader family and team at the track. It was perfect.

I wished I lived closer so I could go there more often.

On a sepetate note my thoughts, and prayers to those killed and injured in the car wreck in Milan on the night before the race. What a horrible shame.

Bring your car, even if you don't though, I've been the past 2 years without my DSM and its been a blast. It's not a bad drive from CT only about 10-11hours with stops

Jeff, fantastic job of driving today. Nice to see that car of yours put so many other cars on the trailer. I was talking to a friend back in Oklahoma when the 3 of you fired up your cars and left the Pizza joint. He could hear the cars and thought we were still at the track. Amazing to see you guys race all day, then drive them home. Good job, ALL DAY LONG. Congratulations on taking 3rd in a daily driven car in Evo Eliminator. Tall order but you got the job done.

Jeff it was nice meeting you as well!! you are one funny **** drunk and sober..LOL I have to say it was a great feeling coming up to the shootout for my very 1st time and being treated like family as well.. You guys were great to me and my whole crew and none of us can stop talking about what a great time we had..

You ran consistent today and went rounds w/o issues and thats whats important!! You will run the 9sec pass by accident when you make the changes we discussed.. Your car is setup perfect and to be able to drive 2 1/2 hours to and from the race with confidence shows that your car has a badass reliable setup!! Good luck!!!

Thanks Al!
Your opinion as both a tuner and friend means a lot to us. We are all on the same team. The anti.....D....F....Zone!
We are very lucky to have the master David Buschur on our side. Without his vast knowledge and experience we would not have figured out the problem.
Have to give a big thankyou to David, Dan, Trent, Jarrod, Nick, Ted and the entire Buschur crew for their humble hospitality they offered to us the entire week we were there and for hosting the best import event I've had the pleasure of attending all year. It was just like the old days. No BS. Just straight heads up racing without all the cry baby rules. There was never a dull moment all day.
Can't wait for next year.
Al hope to see you soon down here in our neck of the woods.
