The "up to 10%" is still 93 oct using the (R+M)/2. The SAME fuel lacking the presence of ethanol would not have the 93 rating. They are not taking already 93 octane, then adding ethanol to it.

Excellent response! That's exactly what they do. The octane rating (anti-knock index) is 93 with the alcohol in it. Normally called gasohol.

Paul reading online i forget where did i read from i think what happends is they add up to 10 % ethanol, however the OCT is lower than 93 at the time they add the ehtanol,, for example they add the up-to 10% to 91 OCT and the ethanol kicks it up to 93,,,,

its not that they add the 10% of ethanol to 93 and one ends up with 95 OCT

Full mod list:

BR Stage 3, 2 liter
BR Stage 3 head
BF272 cams
1000 cc injectors
BR double pumper
BR 3" EVO9 Vband JDM turbo back
BR COP
BR Race FMIC
BR 2.5" upper and lower i/c pipes
BR T67 Ptrim, header turbo kit
BR lightweight battery kit
AEM EMS
BR ported stock intake
BR 65 mm throttle body
Tial BOV
Tilton clutch

The ethanol in fuel is part of the entire equation in the octane rating. If it was 95 octane it would say it on the pump, not 93. I can't believe I actually replied, I am disapointed in myself.

With that said, you should race this guy for "pink slips" and show him what's up.

i would expect alot more torque for the money spent on those mods. yes it's a 2L but still i would think that with the quicker spooling HTA kit there would be more torque even on pumpgas. 500whp is still sick fast but it would feel ALOT faster if it also had 500TQ. maybe i'm just used to Vipers i guess...
