One question.

Now we know the good things of the one piece part.

There must be an advantage of using the dual stock driveshaft and some disavantages of the single piece.
Any one knows?

Ok, because the Devo Driveshaft replaces all 3 pieces and turns them into only 2 pieces out of all Chromoly what does just the Front Part of the drive shaft weigh stock. anyone have that data?? Then i can try to figure out what my full assembly weighs with the stock front piece + CF Rear 1 piece @ 8.25lbs..

unless i am wrong i dont think they can just be replacing the 2 piece rear with a 1 piece and still saving 14lbs because thats what the CF piece saves..

For those of you waiting on Dyno info...not sure thats going to give you anything conclusive--in other words your not going to see benefits translated to HP at the wheels.. Just like lighter wheels, lightened fly wheels, The RS vs GSR, all these give you a faster feeling car but dont relate to actual dyno HP to the ground.. Rotating mass give you the same results IE the feeling of a lighter car, making it seem faster as it does reach speed faster do to less parsitic drag.

i have to disagree. david buschur proved loosening rotational weight will net more power to the ground. not adding power but using more of what you have. other vendors also proved this... and a 14lbs difference off the drive shaft will do the same thing.

It may or may not show up HP.. I have seen wheels Lose HP and Gain HP, swapping 1 and then the other back and forth.. Dynojets reads HP based on how fast you can spin the roller from start to finish speeds.. lighter wheels will spin it faster and so should a light Driveshaft.

For example our porsche lost 15-20hp on the dyno jet when we switched from Bald OEM sized tire to a big 325 tire that was brand new. The weight of the tires must have been significant and there is no better place to lose weight than on a tire because it is the furthest most outside point of the rotating mass.. If you lose 20lbs on the hubs and 20lbs its going to show completely different.. I have also seen a carbon fiber rear motorcycle wheel gain 6whp vs. oem wheel.. Thats huge on a motorcycle and its just 1 wheel.. imagine 4 carbon auto wheels.. LOL

no they didnt stick out any further.. it was the same size tire and the difference in wheel weight was 8-10lbs per wheel.. this was a FWD car so only 2 wheels and it made a difference..

I'll be getting one now that there is an alternative to the $3k(ouch) carbon option.

I've gone steel to aluminum on past cars and wow it makes life nicer out of the gate, car jumps so much easier!

Evo's need help in this dept anywhere they can get it so for 550.00 this is must have.

Cant wait to be 2.2 or 2.3, spooling earlier and having this shaft.....very nice mod for our 8.5:1 comp I-4 dd.

I, like alot of peeps on this thread are on a real estate guilt trip w/ market so buy-able also. So hard to part w 550.00 right now but maybe soon.

The Evo is gonna be crinasty one day...thats what I keep telling myself. Seeing cool stuff like this come out just makes me wanna keep it in the garage more and get paid off.

I thought 3k was the only solution....I always knew it would be a great mod at the scales and for driveability

.....also gotta get the aluminum rear diff carrier from Buscher
