NLTS questions

Is it better on the tranny and clutch to use nlts rather than let off the gas to shift, its seems smoother when i shift.

Better as in drive line longevity or better as in getting from point A to B as fast as possible?

Option A: NO.
Option B: Yes, until you break something or burn up the clutch.

Of course if you are shifting like an animal even when lifting off the throttle you are probably shocking the drive line pretty good as well.

It seems that my drivetrain is taking less of a beating with NLTS

No more high rpm lockouts and no need to bang in gears.

More power is on tap when releasing the clutch when using the NLS. How would that be easier on the clutch?

It probably feels better because the clutch slips more.

Option B won't be easy on your wallet.

If you use Tephra's NLTS mod or another similar function that cuts fuel on the shift, then yes, it is easier on the car. Trying to NLS without cutting fuel will be hell on the drivetrain.

please don't call me when the clip pops off from the NLS and you can't get it into gear because the throw out bearing isn't connected to the clutch anymore.

I know what he's talking about. I'm talking about the clip on the TO bearing coming off due to NLS, which allows the TO bearing to seperate from the pressure plate.
