9sec9/OKIX's EVO, ROUND TWO!
Here's last year without the QTP times included:
Last year 60' = 1.73, 1/8 = 7.234. 1/4 et = 11.13, 1/4 mph = 126.11
Most of the difference is obviously in the front 330. So, it appears that even with smoking the tires, the 60's were better with same tires and more whp/wtq.
ADDED: Last years mph gain from 1/8th to 1/4 was 26-28mph. This year the mph gain on the back half was 32 - 36 mph. Last years dyno just before the race was approx 430 whp on Davids Mustang. This year the whp just before the race was 544 (smoothing). So with 114 whp more, we gained an average 1/4 mph of 13.5 mph (126.1 to 139.6). This is a good comparison of Green to Red at the SAME level of performance. A percentage of your current mph may be 'calculated' to a new mph with same mods.

Right now we're still running the JUN's. We were scheduled to swap and test the FP 4R's and the FP 5R's, but after 2 weeks on the road at Buschur Racing and swapping the turbos and testing the new FP-HTA White and the new FP-HTA RED, we just ran out of time. I can only stay away from the business for so long. I'm really anxious to test the cams though, since data I have shows that the 4R is very very close to the JUN's and the 5R's are substantially higher lift and also have longer duration. It's the duration that has me intrigued. I'm for anything that increases our power output, I just want to be able to quantify it without a lot of other changes.
It's finally happened. OKIX (Tony, my Son) has given me the right to use the 9sec9 name. Yep, he ran 9.99 at 139.x mph. We drove 120 miles to Tulsa, figuring we'd get in at least 4 passes or so. Nothing doing. Got there at 7:00, first pass at 9:00 pm, then we waited over 2 hours for the next pass. First pass was:
I've finally earned my right to use the 9sec9 name. Now that we've accomplished one of our main goals, I'll be doing some R&D with Indy, so track time may take a back seat for a while. Thanks to our Sponsors: Forced Performance for the great turbos and cams. We'll soon be installing the FP cams and be looking for even higher goals.
Buschur Racing for support, dyno time, training, service, and parts. Swift Springs USA for supplying the springs that gave us 1.43 60' times. Wilson Manifolds for the incredible midrange and topend power. WOW is all I can say. Impact Racing Products for the Jacket, Pants, Helmet, Gloves and Shoes that gave us the Professional Look with the required protection. Most of all, Thanks Indy for being there to help us reach our goal. We still have more goals to attain, but one more goes down.
Last but not least, Thanks Tony..WE did it.
