9sec9/OKIX's EVO, ROUND TWO!
Next pass, Trent went to the line and they VHT'd the track. No one would go, so Trent launched a test and everything was fine. Backed up, rolled forward, lights go on, LAUNCH. Car looked like it was on for a 1.3x 60, then the rear end took a hike. Oh well. By what we saw, it's common knowledge here the car's going 9.40's. It's friggin incredibly fast. We'll get it fixed and be back out. One full pass run was all we got. First full pass was 9.77 at 144.x with a 108.9x 1/8th and the previous launch and 1/8th test run was a 109.98, then shutdown. It's not too bad for nearly 2900 pounds. We're there. Good things are worth waiting for.
Congrats to you Tom and Trent today. I had such a great time. I can't remember the last time I laughed as much as I did today.
This car is going to go much quicker and I won't be surprised to see another 1-2 mph out of it.
We made 2 partial passes today, shutting it down as soon as it went to 4th to just check the logs out and make sure the changes we made yesterday looked good. No time for the dyno and we were going to run it out the back door and risk there being a huge improvement from the changes we made.
The first full pass the car ran an easy 9.77. It's going quicker and faster.
I have a video of the pass when it broke. Jarrod will have some editing to do to put together another awesome "Lumberjack Production". Not sure what broke yet but rear differential/axle looks like they are both ready for the scrap heap. We'll find out tomorrow.
Congrats to all involved, Tom, Tony, Trent, Jim.

sorry to hear about the car breaking... I really thought today would be the day they record went down. Guess we will have to wait till next week now!! Congrats either way, this car is so baffling and to think its on a stock appearing turbo. I am envious, as I would like to build a car like this someday.
We had a great time today. There were 3 personal bests today. vwjeff, streetthisevo and us. Jeff got his own 9 after really working at it. Chris reeled off a 10.90 and Trent took the OKIX car to a truly easy 9.77. The OKIX car is making some serious power. As Trent found out today, launching 550 lbft of torque down low is not an easy job. The car just responds so well. The new swap from the JUN272's to the FP-5Rs was definitely the right move. David and I both agree that the Mivec could use a little more work, but I'll take what we've got at this point. Can't put everything out there at once. Thanks Trent for such a great job today and Friday night. Having the MPH Record for stock appearing AND clicking off an easy 9.77 in one pass today was a nice accomplishment. We'll also get the suspension dialed in a little better which should help.

It's not the camera, it's the conversion of HD to mp2. I have other converters like wmv and even mp4. Just too lazy to copy them over and manipulate it. The encoding I'm using cam with the HD 1080 camera, so I'm using instead of my normal software. Guess I'll have to start using mp4 stuff.
