9sec9/OKIX's EVO, ROUND TWO!
Wicked, I think you may be closer than you think.
As far as today is concerned, we took the car back to the shop after last nights shortened race and decided to do a little work. We all feel pretty good about it's potential, but potential plus overkill is always better. Speaking of overkill, I nearly died 5 times today. Not sure what the human body can endure when it comes to methane gas, but looking for a 'fresh air pocket' was the thing to do today. Even Daniel, who never comes around and stands next to me, got into the act. To prove my point, I snapped a few pictures of the results of what methane can do to you. This first picture proves once and for all that Trent isn't JUST a driver/welder. He even wrenches some. This picture shows Trent before the 'gas attack' had an effect on him.

Then, shortly after the attack, the effect is clearly visiible. David and Trent both wanted to go into business, just wrenching themselves and call it Hillbilly Racing. I've decided that the name really doesn't fit, so I hurried to the Secretary of State's Office and filed for the rights to 'Oh Brother, Where Fart Thou, Inc.". In spite of the antics, we did get something done. It will be back to the track in a day or so if all continues to go well. There were so many captions for this that I thought I would just share it with the community and let you make up your own. This was priceless. It shows how David nearly gagged and Trent looked like he was rather enjoying it. Sick is the word of the day.

Nope, we made some head changes and David and Trent actually did the work. It's together and ready to rock and roll. The picture of Trent is after work was complete. I said before I came that R&D was going to be done and it just takes a certain amount of time and effort to reach our goals. Some work and some fail, but in the end, proof is in the results. I just wish that someone else who has all the answers would just give them to us and we'll be glad to copy them. At this point, nobody wants to share, so we'll do it and post the results. The first of these changes were the airbox and radiator setup. The aero panels and a few other things were next. The results speak for themselves. Not too many 35R's running 145, and NO stock appearing turbos.

Tom, I know you wanted to hear how the Red and v2 did on the west coast. I saw this on their forum. Razorlab did the tune, and with a boost leak at 6k it still did well. "Sean also went on to once again beat the entire Nasa Time Trial TTS class and break yet another TTS record by 2 secs today running Thunderhill backwards. All this on his 91 octane map.He switched to his 100 map for a session and dropped another full second." This was done by SMACK on the EvoM forums.

Bosco the wonder dog. She looks like a Miner ready to go digging. She really is one awsome dog. At this point, she's certainly learned that the trailer makes a neat place to hang out. Sounds great on the aero's. I'll be watching for them. Thanks again Indy. Can you say "150?"
That's great news. I still don't understand how people can even remotely question the ability of the Wilson V2. David and I were talking about the manifold yesterday on the way to the track. We both now run the exact same Custom Version and love them. Do you think there might be a pattern forming here? He runs incredible times and mph on the V2. We set the Stock Appearing Record on the Wilson Manifolds V2. We're only a good track day away from running mid 9's or better and David's about to bust out an 8 on a true street car. There comes a time when non believers begin looking foolish or just jaded. There's more to come, as you well know.
A lot of work today.............you are a class act Tom, I can't count how many times you thanked myself and Trent today, a lot of guys don't know the word, "Thanks". I'm in this for the team work and the friendship, I told you that before.
You don't break records by sitting back and watching what everyone else is doing.
I'm freaking tired!!!! I can't wait for tomorrow.
Thank YOU for everything.
