damage to intercooler... Can it be repaired???

Once you fix your problem you can use a nomex shaker screen to protect your intercooler.

I will check these out. Not sure if it would help with using the intercooler as a car bumper though... I have found that the mounting points on the intercoolers give pretty easily.

Yes, otherwise i probably wouldnt be looking to repair it. Its leaking pretty bad.

Interesting thread, shortly after I bought my evo X I flattened all the intercooler fins with my pressure washer, due to a combination of A)never having had a car with a front mount before, b)not paying as much attn as I probably should have been, and C)failure to realise how fragile the fins are. Does anyone have first hand experience of how much performance I've hosed away? If I spend three days straightening the individual fins with a tiny blade (or less if I go insane before the third day), will the increase in grunt be worth the psychological torment?

Nothing a good welder cant patch up.

BUT intercooler looks stock. Why not upgrade?

Look for a used unit. XS power xs speed is great and affordable.

Just bought a used xs for 120 on clist.
