anyone think my numbers are off- i dont have the dyno chart up but here is the facts
244.1 hp 254 tq
mods- hks downpipe, hks mega flow, tanabe ultra medalliaon cat back- stock cat, manual boost controller set to 19psi , safc2 settings
4000 rpm - (-1)
4600rpm- (-1)
5200rpm- (-4)
5800- (-8)
6400- (-11)
7000- (-13)
7600- (-16)
I just feel like the car seems a hell of a lot stronger than my numbers
btw runs done on a dyno jet awd dyno

What was your AFR on that run. You might be to lean on your afc.

if i am not mistaken it was 12.1- the shop gave me a dyno printout without af ratio info on it- i am trying to remember what is was on the actual computer for the dyno- i do know that the tuning made the af pretty consistant throughout the entire rpm range
Had the chance to get the car dyno , and able to see how its doing ...

Goku, we have similar mods, but I have the stock intercooler. What kind of gas were your using? I'm assuming 91 octane with such rich A/Fs. Here are my pulls on race gas and 91 octane at Vishnu's dyno. I maxed at 311whp. Who's dyno reads lower between Brainstorm and Vishnu's DD dyno?
I have turbo back exhaust, 264/272 cams with adjustable cam gears, greddy s bov, and Xedeflash.

it was on 91 octane and at 1.2 bar (since the FMIC drops boost) with that in mine im sure over 300whp on 91 can be achieve easilly at 1.3 bar , how much boost were you running ???
Shiv's dyno reads a lot lower then a AWD dyno jet ..
its the graph on green, is it on 91 octane ? it seems that you are near 270whp on that one .. which i know shiv's reads a lot less ...
also it seems that you power peaks then it drops off , while with mine it holds till red line 7800 rpms with no drop of points ...
im sure if i was to use c-16 and boosting at 23-24 psi it would be a differnet story an a gain of 60whp .. which i have seen before with that combo ..

I'm not sure why you ask how much boost I'm running when I posted my boost and A/F chart for all to see.
Well, let's see: I ran 275whp on Shiv's dyno on 91 octane. Add 15%, (which is conservative) to get a roughly equivalent number to Brainstorm's dyno: That would mean I would have 316whp on brainstrorm's dyno with less mods. Seeing that you got 295 and I got 316, I'll let you decide. A 21 hp peak difference.
At 7500 I am at about 298hp and you are about at 295hp: We are almost even, but we almost never drive in this range.
Now, take a look at the area under the curve: at 6000 rpms, I'm making around 310 (equivalent) hp While you are at 280. A 30 hp difference.
Now, at 5600 rpms I am making 299hp while you are at 267whp. That is about 32 more hp.
At 5000, I'm making about 283 and you are at about 255: a 28 hp advantage for me.
I just think Works left some potential very safe hp on the table.

Thanks for the comparo Smogrunner. The curve of your dyno plot shines over it all with comparable mods.
That car flashed by Works at 9.5:1 AF is probably also doing more harm by accelerating ring and cylinder wall wear by washing it down.

Once you start pushing the boost up you will see the peak hp start to drop down in the rpms. Right now you dont see that because your running a set boost all the way to redline, turn the boost up and the boost will start to drop in the higher rpms when the compressor wheel starts to stall.
BTW your tuner should really get you out of that 9.5:1 afr and up in the 10.5:1 to 11.5:1 range.
so there's more potential to be made out of this car .. causing the air/fuel to be at 9.5 instead on the 10's .. the reason i dyno the car , is for this mean reason to see where the car was at .. since im not running a boost gauge ( being install this week was waiting on gauges) now with this at hand Pete will change the boost map to bump it at 1.3 bar and also with this air/fuel should change .. till the mid 10's .. will dyno again to see what gains were gain ...

thats the reason i ask .... so we will see what gains were met ... i need to look at your chart to see how much tq you are making ...

i know there's plenty of room for making a lot more hp , 310-315 whp can be achieve .. remember that since im running a FMIC (which smogrunner is the only mod different ) the boost drop to 1.2 instead of what it should be at 1.3 bar ..

If you change the boost map your not going to change the tuning unless the IAT's come up alot which wont happen with a .1 bar increase. You or your tuner will need to lower the fuel map or add more adv timing to burn off more of the extra fuel to get you in the 10:1 range.
thanks for the info , since i have the dyno chart and also to what the air/fuel is reading .. i will have pete adjust it .. so im able to run mid 10's .. he will do his magic and will have the car dyno again to see where is at after the changes ....
